After his maiden win Caves Valley looked like he wanted to get in the derby hunt. Since then just an also ran. With an impressive run coud he or any of the others move towards the derby or are they all destined for the undercard?

Loved Caves Valley early on. But he just isnt the same colt since the race at Delta. His last couple have been dreadful. Blinkers off again, just searching i guess. Hope somehow he retains his form again, but i doubt it..

my opinion is he has not been the same since the spa, nothing he has done since his debut was nearly as impressive as his maiden score

I think he was just a good 2-year old who didn't progress at 3.
He did beat Atoned twice last year, and Atoned could end up being a decent horse.
He was completely empty late going 7F last time, not sure how he's going to do better going a mile against much of the same company.

Magna 5 looks interesting this week.
Would love to know what people think about the Shirley Jones.
Can Shaggy Mane return to form after bad efforts on synthetic and mud, or does Sugar Swirl tower over these?

Thumbs up What's Wrong With Baroness Thatcher

Bill Mott has had this fillie since Pat "The snake venom" Biancone had here and with the odds you'll get with Lezcano riding I think this fillie is money well spent

Default Poly to Turf

Very tough magna pick 5 tomorrow. I might hit the ALL button in both the 4th and 5th at Santa Anita.

I am trying to figure out what to do with horses in the 5th coming off the poly onto the turf. Does anyone have any thoughts on this move?
