Caller One would destroy the field but he's 9 now.

Caller One is still competitive in my mind but im leaning toward Elusive Jazz with Caller One and Level Playingfield underneath. Level Playingfield is such an interestingly, and smart bred horse using relatively cheap stock.
I really like Teuflesberg and Passport in their races. Circular Quay will be the chalk and rightfully so but I think he can be beat. Anyone else notice that all of Johannesburgs best have been inbred to Mr. Prospector? Something breeders should to note about. And in the mile im liking Aussie Rules over Three Valleys, Remarkable News, and British Blue. |

Why's Caller One running in a race that's longer than 440 yards??

My longshot:
On this race I will take a careful look at OLD DODGE.....he is an extremely talented horse! His last race was not a valid one....long layoff.... This G1 entry isn't for nothing |

In the Phoenix no one is worse than 4/1 Futurity they got CQ at 6/5 everyone else above 4/1 |

Keeneland's 1 1/16 with the shortened stretch run (finish line at the 1/16th pole) has always been favorable to horses up near the lead at the head of the stretch. A deeeeep closer like Circular Quay would seem to be at a disadvantage, even though the distance looks okay for him. Have to watch the races on Friday to see if the 'old wisdom' is still useful.

I'm a big fan of CQ, but I really don't expect him to win on Saturday. Mainly because of the surface, but the track configuration could play a role too. I just hope they keep him wide so he doesn't get into too much trouble.(tough to do though when he's got the 1 hole!!) Like others, I'm avoiding betting anything on the new polytrack... for now at least.

Old Dodge is a very very talented horse. I dont think a mile is his best, but I will bet him in that spot.
Tueflesburg is also a nice horse. I think they will have to catch him to win |

Old Dodge was a "machine" when he was here in Brazil.....absolutely amazing...but he is better at 5 furlongs, 6f maybe... But I think he is underapreciated in the field....he is not that bad to pay 20-1 (equibase) against this field. |
