Default Pick Three Probable on Belmont Saturday

HH/EC/Bern, how much does this pay if Bern wins, I am guessing $20 per $1 (If they run these races back to back to back, which I think they might

Probably like $25 for $2. Bernardini will be an overwhelming single and with two (likely) lukewarm favorites it's not going to pay much...

English Channel looks like a very short priced favorite as well. I don't understand the Henny Hughes thing, but judging from what people are saying here, it's hard for him to be more than 8:5, so assuming these three races comprise a Pick-3 how can it even pay $20?

Thank God we know Henny Hughes is going to lose.

If those three win, I am thinking it will pay $12 for $2.

way too short given the pool size, at least $15 per $1, $20 per $1 was way out of control....

LOOk at the last time when HH and Bern won on the same day, the pick three paid like $30 I think, I am going to research it right now, probably won't be able to get it from Equibase

I think it paid $9.60 for a $2 bet with Bernardini, HH, and Ashkal Way.

Actually, i just thought of this, I don't think HH and Bern were in the same sequence, there was a race in the middle there I think...

It was Ashkal and Bern and another nut horse

I guessed high. It was $7.60 and for a $2 Pick 3.

I hope HH is the overwhelming favorite, he's a good horse and it wouldn't be surprised that he won, but I think Silver Train and War Front might have a thing to say about it..

Thanks Sniper, I'm an idiot, 5/2 was a gift with that the more I think about it. I didn't know Silver Train was running in this race, that sprint might be more wide open then I orginally thought, been out of the loop, might be diving back in this weekend though

Oh well everyone's got an opinion.......................

If you play the pik's, it doesn't matter, you're locked in...The only way to offset the takeout is to play pik's...

I'm not saying he can't win but I have no idea what he has done that people are conceding these races to him. War Front is a very good horse and Silver Train has certainly run a number of very good races. Both horses have run races that are superior to anything Henny Hughes has done. Now, if Henny Hughes was 4-1 or more I would consider using him, but at his likely much shorter price I have no idea why anyone would be excited about betting him.

I gotta agree with Mr. S on this one.. I like Henny a lot, but he's vulnerable IMO. Silver Train looks like the horse to beat, followed by Henny and War Front. Henny can certainly win, but I would cover all three of those in one way or another.

Three good horses in one grade one race, its almost unheard of these days.
