$141 MIllion to Illinois purses
This was a five year battle that should be ending...I know there have been very strong arguments pro and con for "Subsidizing", but if you know the history of casino licenses and riverboats in Illinois then this money is deserved for Horsemen.

Great news! They've been talking about this since before the old grandstand at Arlington burned. That's about how long it's taken from conception. Good deal for Illinois horsemen.

It isn't official yet, the ITHA is wanting more now, like always.
The idea is 10% for the rest of the meet, 30% for the following three meets. Pretty easy way to kill a great mood around the track. |
