Am I the only sicko betting Century Mile?
Very thin pools, but some interesting--small--spot plays available.

Haven't bet but watched the Canadian Derby the other day, which the stewards got 100% right with the DQ. Eoin Harty, who was taken down from the win and was very funny about it, was on ATR Monday. He went out of his way to say how nice the facility is, how great they were treated and how eager the patron base appeared.

I just spent yesterday and Saturday there. Fantastic new track, just what western Canada needed.
Very difficult to bet. For me, I didn't think the form held up. Lots of longshots for those who could find them (I couldn't). Definately favored closers. I suppose like all tracks, if you follow their tendancies, you might do well. While I enjoyed my experience there (it was track visit #379), I don't see myself following their product when they start up again next year. Though, if you're in the area, I highly recommend a visit. Hopefully, I can put what I learned to good use when I visit their sister track, Century Downs, in two weeks. |
