Once again I will be trying to tie up Aruna and Mystical Star.

I just hope this time I don't get screwed but, I doubt MS is 16:1 again.

It'll be interesting to see if/how Unstoppable U and Dweej rebound from the Belmont, and if Teeth of the Dog keeps progressing.

I don't know how the Beyer will shake-out or what necessarily it means going forward yet, but I was impressed with Teeth of the Dog's race today.

In keeping with the tradition of most DRF employees using Twitter to piss and moan, here was Dave Litfin's take on the Dwyer:

Dave Litfin ‏@DRFLitfin

Teeth of the Dog ($4.00) life and death to prevail over Fast Falcon in the Dwyer. Morgan's Guerrilla 3rd

It would be impossible for Teeth of the Dog to have been game, or for a mention of it being an exciting race. "Life and death" suits it so much better...

It was another awe-inspiring ride from Rosie, this time on Banimpire. And by awe-inspiring, I mean atrocious. No confidence since that break down, that's for sure.

It's going to be tough for Teeth Of The Dog to get respect unless he can take down the Travers or something else down the road.

People have been using him all year as a marker for the weakness of races like the Preakness and the Wood Memorial because of his presence and subsequent decent showings.

Of course, he beat the great Went The Day Well (in that one's US debut) when breaking his maiden, and everyone loved to talk that horse up this winter and spring. Not sure what gives.

Must be all about the PR.

Gotta be 5/2 or higher to be "game", or maybe a front running loser of the Kentucky Derby. If you are even $$, you are "life and death."

I think I really like Voodoo Storm in the Poker, but will have to see where the 15 horses cross-entered in the Red Bank go. How absurd is it that both MTH and BEL are running essentially the same race tomorrow?

Nothing new with turf races. Monmouth Stakes was day after the Manhattan, and we have the UN/Man 'O War conflict coming up shortly.

Don't worry, with more meets like this one, Monmouth won't be open for much longer.

Compliance Officer is a really good story, and an easy horse to root for/bet on. Which I will be doing today.

Quite a ride by Castellano there... 2nd on the rail behind a 48 half wasn't good enough? Had to choke back to 4th, the middle move 3 wide?
