Default Online Wagering

This is my first post here...

That espn forum was not very active...lol...

Well, does anybody can help me choosing an internet wagering site?!?

Iīve heard about bodog and pinnacle, but i am not sure which one to choose...

I cannot register on youbet, for instance....since i am not american.

Have you heard about tradesports.com?? Is it good for horse racing?

And pinnacle is good only for horse racing? What about the other sports and events, like the world cup?

WHAT DO I DO?????

Thank you!!

What kind of bets do you want to make.We know you want both horse and sports betting, but what kind of horse bets? Win,Place etc.,or exacta, tri, super? Maybe pick3/4? For instance,Pinnacle is good for win betting, and exacta, tri, super, but bad for pick 3/4.

First, and I do not mean this snidely, you could do a little research yourself. It's very easy to see that Pinnacle has lots of ways to bet on the World Cup. You do not need an account to see Pinnacle's lines.

If you want just one sportsbook AND you make bets besides horseracing, then Pinnacle is almost certainly your best choice.

However, if you primarily make horseracing bets, then you should consider 5Dimes. This thread makes the case for 5Dimes:
http://derbytrail.com/forums/showthread.php?t=671

Any semi-serious bettor should have accounts at both 5Dimes and Pinnacle. Both books are 1st rate, and have top ratings at Sportsbookreview.com. You can read reviews of both books there, too.

The Tradesports.com option hasn't been discussed here, to my knowledge, but it is a good one. It may be as good as 5Dimes for small-to-medium bettors. It's a bit complicated, though, and I don't want to get into it right now. (I'd have to remember how it works!) It costs nothing to set up an account at Tradesports, though, and you can get a feel for it yourself.

If you do open an account at Pinnacle, open for the most money that you can spare, up to $5000. The 10% bonus you will get on your deposit is the only bonus you are going to get at Pinnacle.

--Dunbar

PS--Scuds was just kidding about the Portuguese. Heck, with both Portugal and Brazil going forward in the World Cup, Portuguese may become a much more popular language!

If you play any other sports, Pinnacle is definately the way to go. Those guys should start paying me a commission with as many times as I have recommended them to others . Seriously though, I do it because it is the best way to go for the player. The rebates on horses and reduced juice on other sports really add up. Don't get caught up in the "bonus" game because bonuses will be gone. The big drawback with Pinnacle is they don't offer wagering over the phone. Has to be all online.

I think i will bet win and place only, scuds! Once in a while an exacta!

So i think, by this point of view that pinnacle is best for me!

About the language...i didnt understand your question...I can read english, so i will bet on sites written in english. Here in brazil there are only betting sites on brazilian races...and i dont want to bet only in these races.

Thank you scuds!!

Thanks Dunbar!

Actually, i did a research myself. But there are some websites that i really didnt know (like 5dimes), since almost nobody here know or use this kind of service

Another point is that there are some kind of exotic bets that here in brazil doesnt exist or have another name (like pick 3, pick 6, etc) and i dont know what they mean exactly....

Finally, there are some rebates and bonuses on these sites....i will take a deep look on them...because i have lots of doubts

I post this thread to know different sites that i had never heard about them before...like 5dimes...and mainly to get the opinion from people who use them! So i can evaluate your opinion....I dont want you to do the research i am supposed to do...

Thanks a lot for your help dunbar!!

Another doubt that i have is if these sites retain some money when you take the money i have earned.....Is that an important amount?

Thank you!

Thunder, they have phone wagering, but your total for the phone call has to be $100, for both sports or horses. I do it all the time

Scav, do they give the rebates over the phones??.I was told they don't give you the lower vig on other sports, so I never even tried to play that way.

I think you are right about the lower vig over the phone.

I do get rebates for horses via phone, all tracks are 4%, including NYRA...(usually 7% for all tracks except NYRA which is 4%)

I was doing a research and i realized that pinnacle is better for bettors who put a reasonable amount of money on their wages.

At this time, I donīt want to place any bets bigger than $10-$15. Is pinnacle good for me anyway?

I need small fees on withdraws and i intend to put nearly 80% of my bets on horse racing. (when there are some special events, this can get 50/50)

Iīve seen Vip Sports, Bodog and Bet365 could be a good option.

Am I right? Or pinnacle stills the best even for small bettors?

Dunbar,

I am a small bettor....I will not spend more than $100/month.

Is pinnacle best for me or 5dimes?

Dont you think both are too much for me?

Thanks!

1 free withdrawal per month and you get 7% back on all wagers besides NYRA (4%).....5Dimes you only get 10% on your winning wagers....I know that Pinnacle will put it in your native language so that could be easier for you....

A 10% bonus on winning bets is better than a 7% rebate, even if you make your picks by throwing darts. The math to prove that is really pretty simple.

However, the 10% bonus doesn't apply to place bets, so if fmc is making a lot of place bets, he/she is better off at Pinnacle.

The amount you bet doesn't matter. You get the same relative value out of a rebate or a bonus as a big bettor.

You can research the withdrawal fees yourself.

Why do you think VIP, Bodog and Bet365 are particularly good? None of those is nearly as good as Pinnacle or 5Dimes for horseracing.

Have you read the reviews at Sportsbookreview.com?
