Pittsburgh's D has done a horrendous job and have left Vokoun out to dry the entire series. He's done a good job since getting the nod. He had one bad game. It's been exposed cause the Pens aren't scoring 4 a game to cover for their D.

The story has been Rask, period.
He's given up 2 goals on 110 shots in over 215 minutes hockey against one of the top offensive teams in the league.
Now that's stellar.

i think a lot of people are forgetting that the Hawks are the #1 seed IN THE LEAGUE, not just the West, and De-Trois was lucky enough to backdoor themself into the playoffs this season.

say LA takes the next game and Boston sweeps

who ever comes out of the west is going to be banged up while boston licks its chops and gets healthy.

boston's tough. they lost a couple guys last night, and still managed to hold on and then win the thing. pitt played their best of the series last night, and it wasn't enough.
i thought la looked tough at home the other night, but i expect chicago to bounce back this evening.

if la moves on (which i doubt) i'll pull for bos in the cup final. if it's chicago, i'll be pulling for the hawks.
either way, looking forward to some more good hockey.

after watching the Hawks beat a kings team that could barely get the puck out of their own zone down 1 with 3 to play. It was the most boring 3 minutes of a one goal game ever.. You guys might need to call in Stosh Mikita Bobby Hull and Pat Stapleton to beat the bruins.

What a series it would be though. Great Uniforms that have been roughly the same forever. Fans who know whats up. Blood and guts. They'll be showing reruns of "The Friends of Eddie Coyle" on the old movies channel. I was actually at the Bruins Hawks game where they filmed the scene with Robert Mitchum, I can remember my dad saying look son they're shooting a picture with Mtchum in the balcony. Someone got the hat trick that night, which was a cool thing for a little kid to see live. Finish the La La boys off, and let's get it on.

first goal i would definitely say brookbank had some fault in. second goal, if you're a hard core *******, you could say he should have tied up penner, but if you really want to look at it, he didn't give him much, penner barely got a touch on it. Crawford has got to control a slow roller like that, didn't do him or his defense any favors on that one at all.

what i've noticed. Patrick Kane is awful
don't know if he set the world on fire in previous series, but he's unnoticeable in this one. He doesn't play defense, takes stupid penalties, can't create his own shot, DIVES (that really pissed me off last night, when penner barely caught him up high and he laid on the ice for 2 minutes like a sniper got him from the rafters after the whistle to try and draw a call), and it looks like he's salty he's not a factor on the top 2 lines. When Q puts him up with Toews and Hossa he looks all world, otherwise he just gets into the zone and waits. And that “goal” he had last night….yeah, that was Bickell’s.

Bickell, i don't think he's that great, but he's really feeling it right now, and the guy is gonna get STUPID money from someone in the off season. His scenario = Dustin Penner. Relatively unknown in the regular season, guy gets on the national stage and shines, all the sudden he's a household name, and just like Penner getting big bucks to go to Edmonton on an offer sheet, the same will happen with Bickell.

I don't know on Kane...He has had a bad series against LA because he's a "space" guy and that just disappears in the playoffs. He had an unreal defensive reg season as he really embraced back checking and only took 8 penalties all year and is nominated for that Chick award.

Bickell= Dustin Bfgulyn from 3 years ago, although he is light years more talented offensively than Buff was. Bickell is gone..He'll get a 4 yr deal from someone and I think he will be a 30 goal scorer

Crawford let in a garbage goal..im happy they got one of two at the la home ice. hawks will close out la at home sat resting a bit for boston.playerwise some of the comments here baffle me . they found a way to win without a key guy last night.jagr wont be cruising around for 23 min a game vs the hawks..they will hit him.and make him try and skate with the upbeat game we have...its going to be a good series.but by no means are the hawks not able to handle bostons best game. they will find a way to make bostons goalie look mortal toews .will start scoring in the last series imo

pierre mcguire just announced that shawn thornton knows how to "win championships"

he might be the most irrelevant player on either team, right next to the back up goalies..... respect what the guy does, but he got a free ring in anaheim and did the same in boston a few years ago...knowing how to "win championships" is more then just a roster spot

and i just hit mute on my tv
