I was unable to get on yesterday and missed the excitement. I think it should work out fine. Good purchase, and I am quite excited to have a piece of her!!

Did she arrive at Chuck's barn today and if so, did anybody take any pictures of her?

Default Wrong Lead

Guys,

I hate to be Captain Obvious, but Sumwon is always on her wrong lead turning home and down the stretch. I think if it weren't for that she'd have a couple, maybe three, wins right now. Am I wrong? Especially that Mountaineer photo.

What does a trainer do make a horse get on the right lead?

Where did you see her video replay? Trying to find it.

Some horses show an unwillingness to switch leads for lack of balance or stiffness to one side. May not be her problem...but by any chance are any of the partners massage therapists or accupuncturists?

She arrived late morning in good shape. Since the weather is so bad we probably wont do much with her this week. My track vet will go over her tomorrow to get a feel for her and we will do some rountine blood work also. Hopefully we can get a dentist to do some work on her teeth this week. We will get her shoes changed this weekend and she may do some track work on Saturday or Sunday. Steve is in the process of setting something up so that we can keep everyone informed. Honestly there is not alot of info to share on a daily basis but I will do my best.

Thumbs up

Not part of the stable, yet, but this sure is exciting stuff to follow each day. I think the DT stable is going to be a big success in many ways. It enhances and broadens the scope of the DerbyTrail.com experience, while informing and most likely bringing the game closer to interested parties. Just imagine the excitement and pride the first time SWLY breaks from the starting gate in the DT silks?!

Just awesome people! way to go.

Braces to enhance her broodmare value. I mean what kinda stallion wants to mess with a mare with crooked teeth?

That is up to the filly. If she looks like she can compete in a race there we will surely take a shot. However her running style did not fare well at Keeneland in the fall.
