And only one person has talked about the race. I'd like to know if anyone thinks there is a good play underneath. I think it looks chalky with the 1 and 2 filling out the tri only because they have the best recent form. Races with overwhelming favorites can produce longshots underneath but this race is loaded with front end types. It's difficult to project which horses will attempt to come from off of the pace and which ones are capable of doing so.

When it comes to Rachel v. Zenyatta v. whatever straw man people wanna put together, I'm slowly going bonkers. I imagine this guy muttering to himself: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K8CrvGndKzE

One horse had a 5 month layoff hanging around in a stall without a stitch of training, one did not. One had a winning formula that came apart when they tried to change her running style, her bit, and her training methods. One did not. One has an owner a la Jerry Jones who enjoys the micromanaging experience. One does not. We could do this all day. And bringing up number of G1s is kinda silly when it's more like "G1"s that she's won 2-3 times apiece. It's more significant that she won them with her running style--that's where Zenyatta gets more points from me. Not that she won so many G1s or maybe even the Classic. It's that she gives everybody a bloody head start each time, 17 straight. Tout that. To me, it's more impressive than beating Anabaa's Creation could ever be. She should've lost regardless of talent just from getting into trouble. What's painfully obvious to me is neither one is in a position to win HOY as they stand right now--we gotta see more in the next few months or both connections will remain seated at the Eclipse Awards when they get to that category.

Great research--and no I do not bet anymore on horses--not in the last five years. There is no mandate that one can not have an opinion on a horse without backing it up at the windows, even though you suppose it is true .

Are you fixing to bet me on something ???

I have backed it up at the window in the past, and I have gambled OUTSIDE of horseracing to the present--not that it is any of your business...

I do not consider gambling some big virtue, but I have gambled up to 5,000 bucks and the keys to my TVR--won both .

No big deal .

The very nature of my business is a gamble, and my return over 15 years is 300 percent, as is my lifetime return on playing the ponies from the day I put my allowance on Tim Tam in grade school .

Now piss off..

If you have that type of ROI, you should be living well and living off horses.

You've got a point.

You won't get rich but the hedgehog fund is a niche market. Proper marketing and you can triple your earnings in 2 years easy. Of course, it helps if you can handle a few pricks now and then...which I'm sure you could.

One may have that type of ROI, but the original investment may make the return less impressive--just saying .

I would rather live ON a horse than off them ..

I have never been rich but have managed to live ncely as I spent what I had well .. Earning big bucks at whatever I did never happened .

What I have needs to work harder for me ....

I will take this up with my investment counselor--something new for me ..

As I stated prior, the 300 percent was garnered from modest output and modest betting over time... On the ponies I never bet more than 50 bucks ..

The 5 grand bet was a mortal lock and the other person should never have taken it --in fact I advised them not to...

As far as pricks go, you nailed it ..

No she wouldn't.
