Ichabod Crane
Tomcito

This confirms what I believed to be true. Roller Doc is not serious. He's been playing with us this whole time. This list of the good horses the Big Brown beat confirms it 100%. All this time, I really believed he was campaigning on BEHALF of Big Brown but now I see he's against the horse. You had me going pal.

You can stop being condescending right now. I'm just saying this group as a whole were better than those faced by Curlin or Zenyatta. You are spinning it as this group is made up of "good horses" and those were not my words.

King Glorious, how about you respond with four horses beaten by Zenyatta and Curlin combined this year that would be better horses than these four:

Colonel John
Denis of Cork
Eight Belles
Tale of Akati

Those horses faced restricted company for most of the year. Under what evidence are they better? Colonel John is about as good as most of those 3 year olds, and he still finished midpack in the Classic.

I guess my point was comparing Big Brown's competition to Zenyatta's or Curlin's. Based on the list I posted, I am suggesting that Big Brown's competitors were in the same conversation as the other two horses.

What would be the point? All you will say is that the four aren't better than the four you named. But what the hell............

Ginger Punch
Hystericalady
Wanderin Boy
Einstein
Music Note
Cocoa Beach
Well Armed

I know, I know. You don't even have to say it. I know that all of those horses that I mentioned are grade one and grade two winners, some of them of multiple races, and that doesn't compare to what Denis of Cork and Eight Belles did in their careers but I thought I'd mention them anyway.

You're kidding? People are still buying this Colonel John crap after Mambo in Seattle's debacle against Curlin? And Tale of Slowkati around two turns? What exactly did Denis of Cork accomplish this year? You have to be kidding.

Honestly, the list you provided are not better than the four I named.

Correct me if I am wrong but didn't Denis of Cork hit the board in both the Kentucky Derby and Belmont Stakes? Unless you don't consider those two races very important?

Honestly, the best two horses you probably named were Proudinsky and Shakis and that is pretty sad.

Restricted races are meaningless when you are running against a terrible crop. Someone had to hit the board in those races. Doesn't automatically make them a good horse, just better than the crap in their crop.

Once again, when did I ever say any of those horses were "good horses?" I was making comparisons to the other HOY candidates competition and simply making a point that Big Brown belongs in that conversation.

I would put Einstein toward the top of my list. Crimson Comic faced Big Brown in his Maiden Race. He was highly touted back then.

Beating a highly touted maiden, who has done nothing, shouldn't have anything to do with this discussion.

I would probably put Asiatic Boy ahead of just about anyone Big Brown beat at this time.
