Exclamation For those who've posted already

MAKE SURE that your numbers (if you used numbers only in your exotic wagers) match up with the actual program numbers that will be used for the actual payoffs. The original set of entries in this thread had them posted by post position, and you don't want to miss a payout that you should be getting because you had the wrong program number.

Thanks Scav and brian for catching the situation with the post-position/program-number change-up. Considering the number of coupled entries in these races, that would have screwed everything up.

Sorry guys, but I'm on vacation in New Orleans this week.
I am just taking a minute now to check in, but it will probably be a few days before I post the week's results.

In lieu of Miraja's witty contest remarks, which will no longer be at my expense now that I'm nowhere near the lead, I've totaled the payoffs for this past weekend's Prairie State Festival. Feel free to check your payoffs and I can edit accordingly.

A little business first -- and this is pending Miraja's approval as that one created the contest. I did pull up the original contest thread, and there was no mention of having to split entries and pick a specific horse, so I used regular wagering rules that a bet on either part of the entry counted as a bet on the entire entry (and that counts for exotics as well, Buffy! as long as Miraja says it's okay ).

And it appears Avance did not get the memo after posting his picks, so I translated them for him using the original post's "program numbers," so that he didn't get totally shut out...once again, pending Miraja's decision on how cutthroat we want to be.

Huge congrats to DerbyCat, who took a huge lead now thanks to a wonderfully played Pick-3 and hitting half of the trifecta that got kicked into the stratosphere by Lady Lionel sucking up into fourth to claim the kicker slot in that exotic in the Lincoln Heritage.

Name - Previous Total - This Wk - Current Total

1) DerbyCat - $23.00 + $353.10 = $376.40
2) brianwspencer - $111.00 + $19.70 = $130.70
3) ArlJim78 - $76.30 + $42.50 = $118.80
4) Buffymommy - $21.20 + $94.80 = $116.00
5) avance2000 – $7.40 + $82.60 = $90.00
6) 2 Dollar Bill - $11.00 + $76.50 = $87.50
7) miraja2 - $16.00 + $68.80 = $84.80
8) Gaines2b - $0.00 + $80.80 = $80.80
9) Angelsita - $14.00 + $60.80 = $74.80
10) Cajungator26 - $26.20 + $34.80 = $61.00
11) dylbert - $10.80 + $39.40 = $50.20
12) Scav - $9.80 + $39.80 = $49.60
13) timmgirvan - $26.10 + $9.20 = $35.30
14) Swedejxn - $9.80 + $19.30 = $29.10
15) trifecta124 - $26.20 + NP = $26.20
16) viscount26 - $14.80 + NP = $14.80
17) gamblin4ever – $10.80 + NP = $10.80
18) Aewingnut – $0.00 + NP = $0.00
19) kickslions – $0.00 + NP = $0.00

Good job DC, keep that top spot open until I turn it on...

Scav - I actually have to give you credit, you said Janks would win the 4th and 6th, I just keyed around that. I also used the Chris Block thread to my advantage... I never even looked at the PP's, just went with trainers/jocks/ml odds to make my picks -- needless to say, I don't deserve the lead Of course, anyone that wants to take it from me is going to have to catch up

I didn't know either! But, the original contest rules did not state that you couldn't play multi-race wagers with the cash, so I guess, why not?!

I never even thought of a pk3 because we normally play only one race per week. wow! DC you will be hard to catch with lead like that and only $4 to play in exotics per race. great job.

I actually only got $65+ with my two P3's (races 3 & 4) - it was the $189 tri in the 5th that really did it for me... I also got the winner in all 6 races

I'll never pick that well again for the rest of my life... just call it the luck of 7/7/07
