Speaking of greys, I still need to get my 2005 Derby poster signed by Mikey Smith so I can frame it and hang it in my new apartment August 1. Giacomo may be one of the least favorite greys going these days, eh?

I'm building a shrine of horse racing memorabilia.

Slot, you sound like me, you should see the stuff I have gathered for the bar in the basement of my house.

Problem is, don't have the house yet.....

Cajun,
I took a look at the White Fox site. Then decided to not make a comment.
The half to Storm Cat explains those knees. Geesh!

Slowly building my collection...starting small with some Black Tie Affair stuff, a couple of Keeneland items, and the 2005 Derby print. I think I might just have the Derby print framed and hang it as is.

You know... I wonder if Storm Cat got his soundness problems from his dam (Terlingua) or his sire (Storm Bird?) Terlingua is the dam of Pioneering, but his sire is Mr. P. What are your thoughts?

I really don't know. Maybe others have some ideas about this.
My "guess" is that genetics for faults show up and then become prominent.
I also don't think Mr Prospector passed this fault, because so many of his "get" don't have it.
Hope this narrows it down.
It's kind of like tracing Secretariat's huge heart to the mutation from Blue Larkspur.
Your question is very interesting. My guess is to find the answer through a process of elimination.

Another great question.
I've never been there, but I know that the Cahokia lived on the east bank of the Mississippi (mound builders). Across from St Louis.
Down? I think that comes from ducks or geese.

Cahokia Downs was a track in Illinois that had mostly claimers. It closed in 1979.

I wish I understood these poster ratings systems. Cahokia freaking Downs trumps Suffolk Downs which is a spot above Pimlico?

Island Fashion She won short, long, turf, dirt all in graded stakes. They ran her against the boys. The Big Cap exacta was a gift! Thought she was a bit mismanaged needed to rest after the Big Cap instead of going to the Apple Blossum that year. Trip to Japan was a disaster. She was a trier!
