My theory is it took them 8 innings to figure out you're still allowed to play baseball even if Derek Jeter isn't on the field.

Turned the car radio on long enough to hear they were losing 3-0,ir maybe 4-0, in top of the eighth.

I did not know April was coming back.

That was swell news.

"By being the manager and just playing whoever I want." - Acta on how he would choose to split playing time between Kearns and Buck.

In other news, welcome back to the bigs Luis Valbuena!! We've missed you. McCallister back to C-Bus as that was his lone start. Luis stays until July 18th when Exhausto returns to start one of the double header games in Minnesota.

I'm done saying nice things about them. They lose when that happens. I see they made up a fake injury for Talbots!! Good for him. Gomez up for good. He's not my favorite. His AAA stats don't fool me at all. Exhausto ready to go Monday. I don't think things are looking good at all. Even Verlander getting shelled doesn't make me happy. As good as Carrasco was in June, he's been that bad in July. I'm not excited about tonight. nor Sunday, nor Monday. Thanks. My birthday was their last day with more than a zero game lead.

You need that unyielding faith and "with them win or win" like I have.

I saw replay of Grady's home run last night...low outside pitch that he leaned way out over the plate to pull. Got lucky. Will now think he has free reign to pull every single pitch based on that one at bat until September. We're in late July and the guy has zero stolen bases....are you kidding me?? He's become a deranged version of Russell Branyan. Asdrubal did hit a home run to the opposite field. I guess that is ok.

That's what I mean about Sizeless.

He sold out several years ago from a guy who could hit .320 with 15-20 honers to one who wanted to hit 40 and settle for .260 or so...with tons of strikeouts.

I like Brantley a lot....stick Sizeless in Seattle for a minor leaguer who will be the next Hank Aaron.

Whatever happens, please just don't let the freaking White Sox win this division. I realize the Tigers are probably going to finish with a sub-.500 record and a fired manager, but if the Indians could somehow win instead of the White Sox or - even worse - the god-dang Twins, this Tigers fan would be much obliged.

No to worry...it will be between Cleveland and Detroit in this triple A division.I'm thinking the way the Indians play who's on third and in the outfield and the way they replace pitchers whose era's are over 5 with pitchers who will be over 6...Detroit should eke the Tribe out.

The Twits and the Panty Hose make me sick as well.

Tigers have the best record in baseball before the All-Star break since 2006...and one of the worst post-All Star break. I think they've been in first at the halfway point something like five of the last six seasons. 2009 was particularly painful when the Tigers set the MLB record for most days spent in first place without winning a division.

Down one in the 9th, runner on 2nd two out, Grady turns one over to the first baseman...I know, we're all shocked!!! (it was not an outside pitch at least as I saw the replay on EVPN, but grounders to the right and K's are pretty much all there is.)

Carrasco pitched really well, so that was encouraging. A very rare big fail by the bullpen after 7 hitless innings the first two games. Herrmann pitched like a munster.

Uh Grady Sizemore has never hit better than .290 in any ML season and he has always had a ton of strikeouts. And for your info all thing being equal a guy who hits .260 with 40 HR's is usually more valuable than one who hits .320 with 15.

And here I thought he had missed these last few years because of knee surgery and we find out it wasnt that at all...It was old Grady selling out.

Maybe it was just LeBrons bad advice and the knee thing was a big coverup?

You do recall he had microfracture surgery on his knee right? That stealing bases is probably not a great idea for a guy coming back from that?
