What people have to understand is that this isnt a concert where a missed note or lyric or stumble is washed over in the course of the 1 to 2 hour performance and is only seen by less than a 100k people half of which are drunk and incoherent and don't care.

This is a "live" performance in front of oh...a BILLION PEOPLE. This is the showcase event of the most marketed sport in the US. This is 10 minutes, three songs coreographed with a lightshow being performed by 65 yr old men. Do you really think the NFL is going to take that chance???? Would any sane human?

There are parts to the performance that are "live". They dub those in. Those aren't holographic images out there and these guys really did lay down the track. They just didnt sing it while we were watching...except for a few small parts.

anyone willingly playing shortened versions of their songs to fit into a set truncated for commercial breaks deserves all the criticism possible.

i'm not a prince fan and thought his set was amazing. i am a springsteen fan and thought he delivered.

who's next came out when i was 15 and was an album i thought was transformative.

and now i've seen the fat elvis wearing a white jumpsuit version.

thanks for that.

hope you enjoyed that career diminishing moment. dead on the toilet is just around the corner.

This is funny.

Supposedly the band signature song proclaims:
"Hope I die before I get old"

So what happened????? Apparently 2 of the 4 have ignored this.
