If this discussion, turned as it has,
is an accurate guage of the public's opinion
of Revenge, he would have been 3:5 favorite.

Kinda astounding.

I don't give her that much of a chance in the race.... but my only strong opinion in that one is that I think Informed Desicion is very vulnerable and the race is worth betting to try and get her out of the exacta and tri.

I don't. I didn't like any of those three to win anyway. I was always going with Friesan Fire and Pioneerof the Nile had worked his way up to my second choice with Musket Man third.

In today's game, the old standards that horses needed to reach have changed. Barbaro changed the recent race rules. Street Sense changed the BC Juvenile and three races at three rules. I'm sure Big Brown changed a couple more. People say if Pioneer was so well thought of, why wasn't he started on the dirt. Why was Big Brown started on grass and entered for grass for his second race also? There's not a single grade one dirt winner in this field so why couldn't Dunkirk win his first? This field has become so wide open that I don't think you can throw out any horse with 100% certainty.

Yeah now thats something to be upset about!! Whoever had him at that price had to be feeling pretty dang good coming into this race. But ya know, karma is a b**ch, and it bit Mullins and Ivaronne in the butt, its just to bad the other owners, who were very upset at the new confrenece and seem like great people and Joe had to suffer also.

this is twice now that a horse has scratched the morning of a race after the track vet detected something. first the pamplemousse, and now IWR. is this a common occurrence?

I think as the values of the horses has risen, it's become more common. Whatever the issues that both horses came up with, not more common.

I still haven't figured out what the hell I'm gonna bet.

Time for another cup of coffee, another smoke.....and a shot of Woodford.

This just turned into the first Kentucky Derby in over a decade that I won't bet a nickel on.

It looks like it is back to just Arlington Park action for me today.

Just watched the head-on of Race 2. Gomez jerked the hell out of Riley Tucker to get him right on the rail as soon as they left the chute.

I'm still trying to keep an open mind, though.........

You've got to be kidding. He's the luckiest gambler alive.

He'll end up hitting a pick 4 or something grand like that for 40k because of this, instead of his WPS bet that he was all psyched up for.

It's a near certainty he'll stand to make a killing if one certain longshot pulls this off.

Chalk Withdrawal Fit

QR, and IWR both gone= Gotham Chalkplayers looking for a corner with a Baby Bottle

I'm just devastated that a cheater and his supporters got to watch someone else win the Derby. ..Torn up.

BTW, HOSS, and DRUGS will huddle together n' all question whether it should have the Grade 1 reduced to a Grade 2.

However the horse could care less if he gets to run in the Derby while the shady people are torn up which is a nice touch

IEAH is only the part owner, and not even the majority owner, of I Want Revenge. I've never heard anything against owner/breeder David Lanzman. Enlighten me about his shady behavior.

Where shall I begin? First of all I mentioned shady people, not specifically the owners. Surely Mullins could be considered shady at the very least? The fact that a guy with horses has them with Mullins who everyone inside and outside the game knows is a bad guy and "ethically challenged" makes Lanzman shady. You are judged by the company you keep and his company is shady, and that is being kind.
