He can only blame himself here. I know he has been under a lot of stress, but he brought that on himself by getting mixed up with the wrong crowd. He's a very silly man.

![]() If I had jumped off Horatio Nelson cause he didn't feel right, been ordered to get back on and ride him, and felt him beneath me as he took that final step... if I had seen his eyes when they were opened for that last possible second, if I had seen him exhale for the very last time?
I'd use too. If i had been the one to walk away from Gypsy King as he lay dying on the track, and so many others, so many others? I'd use too. If I'd been the one to pick myself up from a life of hardship, from a childhood filled with out, if i had struggled with weight and pain, booze and personal failures, accusations and headlines, divorce and more headlines? I'd use too. Do you know what it's like..... being in court, having to sit stone-faced while others tell lies, not being able to cry or scream or fall apart, accusation that were untrue and unfair... how would that feel? I know firsthand from last week that having parts of your life left to the mercy of a stranger in a black robe, being lied about, being outraged and feeling like you're dying inside while you sit there praying you can hold it together... it's hard. It's almost impossible sitting there sick and disgusted and sad and furious and wishing for the truth insead of the new so-called-reality of lies that are being presented. I'm a fan, I'm not objective, I know he used, I know he drinks, but i can't turn my back and even if it's something as ridiculous as posts on the net, I'll always support this man no matter what self-destructive acts of stupidity he commits. He is his own victim and that's so terribly sad..... he breaks my heart in two but both parts of it still go out to him. They always will. I'm not saying he should be allowed to stay with AOB or not, he should ride or call it a career, he should or shouldn't have done what he did. Again. All I'm saying here is we all need love, don't we? We all need NOT to be abandoned. We all need to remember that maybe, maybe someday life will balance out and we'll be happy again. We all need people not to turn their backs. He didn't hurt anyone. So don't fault me for my support or, if you must, understand that I'm talking about the man and not the jockey. I'm talking about a person who is troubled yet brilliant, not perfect just like any of us, who has made mistakes just like any of us and who is under tremendous pressure that is his own personal torment just like we all endure privately and at some point in our lives. Forgiveness. Peace. A bright light ahead... Days where pain is replaced by joy. That's my wish for him. Whatever his own happiness is, I hope he finds it. God bless Kieren Fallon. |

![]() Everyone has ridden horses who have died on the track. It's sad, but it isn't an excuse.
The problem is, mmsc, his drugs problem came long before this court case, his alcohol problem came ages before this court case. His temper has always been there. I will never forget the day he pulled Stewart Webster (a good family friend) from a horse at the track, which could have caused serious injury to him. There was the incident with him and John Egan in Hong Kong. The incident with Henry Cecil's wife. The drugs, not once, but twice. Once I could understand, but he vowed to get help, those around him vowed to help him. He has thrown that trust an respect back into these people's faces. You say he didn't hurt anyone. You're right, he didn't, however, riding a horse while under the influence is just as bad (if not worse) as driving a car under the influence of drink and/or drugs. Can you imagine if his judgement was impared and he had caused a big racing accident killing and injuring both horses and jockeys?!?!? That is the bad part about it. Sure, if he feels like the drugs take a great deal off his mind, fine use them BUT don't ever think about riding while still under the influence. That is what really has got to me. That he has been willing to do it whilst riding and therefore risking life and limb of him and others just so he feels better. Now in my mind that is very selfish. The court case was pathetic, you're quite right, but if he hadn't have got mixed up with these people in the first place, he wouldn't have got mixed up in this. I like him. He's a fantastic jokey, but it makes me sick he was willing to take drugs when he knew he'd be riding with them still in his system. The accidents that could have happened because of the drugs. It hurts me when he has been offered so much help for his problems, coolmore have stood by him for so long and then they find out about this, how heartbraking must it be for them. They must feel so let down, and even used at the moment. I wish him all the best, but what he has doen has been very selfish. He has had so many chances to sort himself out, but he's never taken any of them. If he can't help himself, what are we supposed to think of him?

Egan refused to go back to face charges (which was why Munce was detained, in a roundabout way). It was kinda pathetic when Les Arcs was scheduled for Japan and he asked the HKJC for help clearing his name with the JRA..... Needless to say, they didn't exactly come running. Was Fradd busted then too or was that a different incident? |

![]() B Sample found to be positive.
Bad news for Fallon. It will most likely be a ban between 12 and 24 months. This will also mean he won't be able to ride in Ireland. I think he can wave the Coolmore job goodbye.

![]() From RP.....
Medical panel to consider Fallon case next month by Jon Lees and Desmond Stoneham . FRANCE GALOP on Tuesday confirmed that Kieren Fallon's B test sample had tested positive for a prohibited substance and that arrangements were being made for a medical panel to consider the case in the new year. Henri Pouret, the authority's head of rules, said France Galop stewards would determine how to deal with the jockey based on the findings of the three independent doctors who would comprise the panel. But he advised against speculating on the length of sentence that could be imposed based on the experiences of jockeys Roberto Carlos Montenegro and Dean Gallagher, both of whom were banned after failing a second drugs test. Fallon tested positive for a banned substance, reported to be cocaine, after Myboycharlie had wonthe Group 1 Prix Morny at Deauville in August. On Monday night his solicitor Christopher Stewart-Moore confirmed that the result of the B sample had been received. On Tuesday, Pouret said: “I can confirm that sample B has tested positive in Hong Kong.A France Galop medical commission will now meet in mid-January. This consists of three independent doctors, not employed by France Galop, who will examine the case and come to conclusions. “They will transfer the case to the stewards of France Galop, who will convene a meeting and make a decision. We never disclose the substance found; it is a prohibited substance.” Fallon served a six-month suspension imposed by France Galop for testing positive for a metabolite of cocaine in June 2006. Pouret said it would be unwise to compare his case with that of Montenegro, who was banned in October for 12 months after he had provided a second positive test for a banned substance at La Teste de Buch, near Bordeaux, on July 29, a decision that the stewards upheld on appeal. Gallagher received a six-month ban in France in 2000, but his second drugs breach fell under British jurisdiction. The jump jockey was given an 18-month suspension after traces of cocaine were found in a urine sample at Newton Abbot in 2002.

![]() Starting to think he just have a complete disregard for the law
From RP..... Fallon denies speeding charge by Racing Post staff . KIEREN FALLON submitted a plea of not guilty on Thursday to a speeding charge at Ely courthouse in Cambridgeshire. The six-time champion jockey did not attend the court and the case was adjourned for four weeks. Fallon is alleged to have driven a BMW at 40mph in Milton Road in Cambridge, where there is a 30mph speed limit, on May 16 last year. Fallon, whose address was given as The Severals, Newmarket, also denied that he failed to give information to the police relating to the identification of the driver at the time of the alleged offence. * * * * Seems strange he is giving his legal address as Newmarket. As far as I know, he isn't here. Would have thought I might have seen him about if he was. Hmmm. Does this also mean he has left his job at Ballydoyle??

Exclusive: Kieren Fallon banned worldwide for 18 months Kieren Fallon may have run his last race after being found guilty of doping offences (Stephen Kelly/PA) Rob Wright, Racing Editor Kieren Fallon's roller-coaster career may finally have been ended as he has been given an 18-month ban after testing positive for a second time for a banned substance in France. The ban comes into effect in nine days' time and will stop Fallon, 43 next month, from riding worldwide. The six-time champion jockey, who was recently cleared of race-fixing charges at a lengthy Old Bailey trial, was initially banned for six months by France Galop after a positive test at Chantilly in 2006. The French authorities took a dim view of Fallon's latest failure - reportedly for cocaine - which was recorded after the jockey landed a big-race success aboard the aptly-named Myboycharlie in the group one Prix Morny at Deauville last August. Fallon, who had been banned from riding in Britain while the race-fixing case was ongoing, had been free to ride both in his native Ireland and France last year and had received the full support of his employers, the powerful Coolmore team. Fallon's final ride last year showcased all of his immense talent as he forced Dylan Thomas to a dramatic success in Europe's biggest race, the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp in October. It may well prove to be his final ride. Fallon's career has brought joy and frustration in almost equal measure. Banned for six months after pulling fellow jockey Stuart Webster off a horse in September 1994, he hit the big time when gaining a first classic success on board Sleepytime in the 1997 1,000 Guineas, landing his first jockey's title in the same year. In November 2007, he received £70,000 in damages after suing The Sporting Life for libel over the notorious Top Cees affair. He completed a rare Oaks-Derby double in 1999 on board Ramruma and Oath for his employer, Henry Cecil, before the pair parted company citing "personal differences" later the same year. Typically, Fallon was quickly snapped up by another big yard as Sir Michael Stoute acquired his services for the 2000 season, the combination immediately clicking with the victory of King's Best in the 2,000 Guineas. In January, 2003, he entered a rehab clinic after admitting alcohol problems, but yet again bounce back for a second Derby win the same year on Kris Kin. Another Oaks-Derby double followed in 2004 with Ouija Board and North Light, but in three months later he was initially detained as part of a police investigation into race-fixing. Fallon was charged with conspiracy to defraud Betfair customers in July 2006 and banned from riding in Britain until the trial ended last month when he was cleared of all charges. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/spo...cle3252076.ece |

![]() I first thought there was doubts about the "A" sample, I'm not sure. There had been thoughts that the level of cocaine found in the sample was very high and some had said it might have been tampered with but that was soon said to be false.
He's got what we expected him to get. Dean Gallagher got 18 months for the same offence, so it was expected.
