Mike, this is wrong. Edited posts have a record, deleted posts do not. I just deleted a couple of mine pointless ones to see.

For the record, I don't see where Oracle deleted posts but I am going to say that this is gone too far. Mike, you should have never even mentioned Arabs and terrorism, a bad move because it is automatic controversy......

Only if you subscribe to a service with a video library, I think. I watched and taped it on TVG. They will probably replay it sometime today.

Track was gooey after heavy rain the previous overnight, officially good but the horses came back pretty plastered with it. Ron sat back in fifth, 5 or 6 back of a quintet who made the early fractions. He moved up around horses on the turn and engaged the remaining leader, Lewis Micheal at the top of the stretch. He put that one away, but Smokeyjonessutton (one of my boxcar winners at Kee last spring) had slipped up the rail and was still running, too. Ron battled him for a bit, but was drawing away at the end. All in all, a good return race, the right sort of test for a horse that is not yet in optimum racing condition.

he's up to #17 on the list now for '06...he's done well here and overseas. les arcs in europe, and now pine island and arravale last wknd. those two fillies will move him up in the next bhorse edition.

i always liked kris s, and arch is turning into a good rep for him. better late than never for kris s! i know some are hoping rock hard ten will do well...but i think arch is helped out by his broodmare sire as well!! (ya now i had to put that in there...)

Good to see Lawyer Ron is back and already winning.
Brother Derek and Sharp Humor should be next.

Agreed...........my primary problem is getting PERSONAL wioth things...it is uncalled for...tell me you don't agree with my article or point of view...fine, it is the point of this chatboard...But, nobody has the right to start any type of personal slander.....just childish...you don't know me and never will...how could you comment on what you don't know and why? The rich daddy / pansy ' Arab ass-kisser / everything else I have cosen to forget is simply over the top and uncalled for.....I'll leave it at that...

Thanks, PA. I'm so annoyed I can't find the race to see it.

And thanks, BB, for your heroic attempt to wrest this thread back to being about LR... did you see the race? What did you observe?

I LOVE Rock Hard Ten and almost bred to him this year because he was such a good racehorse IMO (I thought he would have beaten St. Liam in last year's BC Classic had he not scratched out) but I COULD NOT get over the fact that he was a Kris S. - so i went to Vindication instead....

my only concern about rock hard ten is his size....too big. if i had to choose between him and vindication, i'd have gone to the latter as well.

Stallions by Danzig who have sired group or graded winners:
Chief's Crown, Dayjur, Pine Bluff, Polish Precedent, Polish Patriot, Danehill, Polish Navy, Shaadi, Lure,Green Desert, Anabaa, Lost Soldier, Dumaani, Maroof, Bertolini, Military, Mujahid, Monashee Mountain, Boundary, War Chant, Petit Loup, Brahms, Emperor Jones, Ishiguru, Partner's Hero, Danzig Connection, Eagle Eyed, Langfuhr. I may not have caught them all. I'd call that a pretty good collection. A lot of these were overseas, like the Danehills.

I got to visit Danzig at Claiborne a few years ago; he was very old but still in good shape. Very mellow (or just too old to bother), let us pet and fuss over him. Nearly a carbon copy of Northern Dancer, without the bright white markings. Little bulldog of a horse. Why do people think big=good and small=bad? Plenty of counterexamples.

Yeah, I'm not saying trhat there isn't exceptions...look at Chief's Criown for instance...he was a HORRIBLE stallion relative to how good of a racehorse he was.....so was Dayjur and Pine Bluff - no denying that.....

Why are you asking me that ... you friggin' little pansy!!!

Oooops ... sorry ... I'm getting a little too wound up in this thread. What was the question again?

Oh, yeah ... Lawyer Ron ... I didn't see the race ... just reviewed the chart.

He didn't set off skyrockets ... but he did beat some horses who were in better shape than he was. It shows that he's a decent quality race horse ... but I don't think he'll ever break Bernardini's heart.

That made me laugh out loud. Though, since I'm a girl-- I think you'd have to call me a ballbusting bulldyke or something like that. Hee hee.

I agree with you on LR vs. Bernardini-- in fact, I don't think any three-year-old can break Bernardini's heart at this point, but I'm glad LR did well. And I hope he'll be back as a 4-year-old, too...

Useless trivia-- "Pansy O'Hara" was Margaret Mitchell's original name choice for her immortal heroine.

So horrible that he is now a Chef-de-race. Check the Roman site.

List 5 improtant horses that Chief's Crown sired...I doubt you could even list that many....I'm telling you that danzig blood on the paternal side really isn't that great relative to how good of racehorses they were and the mares they got, etc.....I love Danzig as much as the next person, but he just has been very average as a sire of sires.....I like him on the broodmare side, though

Anyone know who else is headed to the Super Derby? (If Lawyer Ron goes, of course...). It would be good to see a few of the old gang clash again -- LR, Bro Derek, SNS. There are still quite a few good 3yo's out there if they can stay healthy.
