I hope the once a year bettors jump on this and increase his odds. If he runs he's a shoe-in (no pun intended) for the super. There is a Derby super, I hope.

i'm sure he's not

i doubt he knows this site even exists

we will see in a few weeks what happens

i hope the horse runs , his connections are good for the game

i just put out an opinion that i don't think he will go because it will be very hard to have him at 100% for a 10f race , i could be right , i could be wrong time will tell , what do you think will he be in the starting gate ?

Jimmy Jerkens never struck me as the internet-savvy type.

actually i'd guess he does, since one of his good friends trains the horses for the website's stable.

agreed, his connections are good for the game- he's a good trainer and evans is a good owner, and the horse is phenomenal. i think he'll run, and run well.

Evans wins the Virginia T-bred Association's breeder of the year award almost every single year. I'm sure kev even stalks him on occasion.

It's like when a horse is supposed to work on a Wednesday and due to weather the work has to be pushed back a day or two. Do you have any idea how often that happens?

I personally think he will be in the gate on May 2nd, because I am of the opinion the quarter crack isn't as bad as it was originally made out to be.

fair eneough Da Hoss we both have different opinions that is what the game is about

my opinion was formed based on a known fact (the crack) - one of us is going to be wrong , i hope it's me , the trainer and owner and all other involved i hope they get there

Actually, you put forth your opinion which is simply "an opinion" -- as fact. But that's OK. Based upon your posts, you seemed to be saying "can't" as a fact -- and of course now you are saying "can't" but "hope" -- regardless, it's moot. You can make yourself right whether he wins or loses.

beyer , andy , crist can analyse all the numbers from know until the cows come home and they are all very good at it , but , as far as preperation for a 10f race the horse is behind , the numbers are the numbers, but they don't tell the whole story
This was your original so called "fact" which Jimmy clearly stated was not an issue. Regardless, I don't want to argue and play internet ping-pong here. It really doesn't matter.

Seperate and distinct -- what I think will be very interesting is how Jimmy will prep this horse. He had to adapt, improvise, alter schedule, etc. for the FL Derby a bit, and let's face it, that's what a good portion of this game is about. It's day to day. Not that it matters, nor do I know, but I kind of wonder if Jimmy goes and asks 'The Chief' or perhaps they just talk about it, or if they don't talk about it at all. Regardless, Jimmy is a sharp horseman. I am looking forward to next month and how everything takes shape.

Eric

It's my belief that Quality Road will not be in the gate on Derby Day. I just don't like hearing stuff like this this close to the race. You need things to almost go perfectly and I'm sure that in almost every barn, nothing goes perfectly but I believe that this incident leans more towards significant than it does towards insignificant. They become battles you have to fight daily and it's different when you are working with a horse that you can pull back with and map out your own schedule. When you are dealing with a set schedule, I think it compromises what you planned on doing. I hope he's there but if I had to make a bet either way today, I'd bet he won't be.
