Thought she got a little crowded going into the first turn and never recovered. Looks like the jock protected her late. She'll fight another day.

Regardless of the outcome, it was still another great day. Met some more wonderful DTers.
Here's the link to the obligatory group shot . more may follow.

Aw, you guys are lookin' GOOD! Would have looked good in the winner's circle, too. Glad Dee Tee got to Tampa, hope we get to go again next year.

Thanks for that!

She had some decent pace numbers on her turf tries last year. Horse took a dozen tries to put it together - why not stay together.
and the biggest reason I liked the horse...

I've seen too many older Down The Aisle sired horses go off at big odds and win for no reason.

but nope didn't bet and if I did I wouldn't have left out KnS. I thought if I didn't weigh her down she would win for the people in Florida.

must be something about going 1 1/8th that zaps 'em, no?

Two words for the day... Hungarian Gent..

Bailed us out in finale and covered the freight.

What an awesome day in Tampa. Big thanks to Bigs and Co. for Hospitality. Steve was in and out like the summer wind, great to see and meet everyone. Well worth the trip!

Took our Hungarian $$$ up to poker room and soaked up every last drop.

Made it to airport just in nick of time to sit and wait...

Really great day.

Kickin and me after the race. She enjoyed her time in the pen after the race.

She was pretty frisky.

It was me, me cigar and Chaldean nation. Very little English spoken and very few $6 K Teri's being cashed. Reasonably safe for a dump.I would rather be tearing up tickets in Tampa.

Leo, as always great pics. And big thanks to you, your mom and dad, Bigs and Rudeboyelvis (Dan) for being our great hosts. Tough day for KnS but still a great time for the DTers.

I didnt look at the PP's before the race...but I think the mistake people made on the winner was seeing that she broke her maiden for 25K and was moved "up in class" to 50K. There really is no such thing as a 50K claimer at Tampa. No one in their right mind...IMO...would claim a horse for 50K at Tampa. I think this class (50kN2L) is written at Tampa basically for trainers that feel their horses aren't strong enough for ALX, but don't want to run them for a cheap tag and risk losing them. The majority of the horses in that race today are realistically 20-30K claimers.

Easy to say after the fact and I am sure to catch some sh*t, but the winning horse made sense today. A nice ground saving trip from Montalvo didn't hurt either.
