I am so disgusted! They must be setting up for a movie, that could be the only explanation for an episode so crappy! Jesus Medow, Stevie Wonder could have parked the damn car faster than that!

Default Though I said.....

"That's it"? After the credits popped up, i'm sitting here pondering what it means. Could their be a film in the works, and so the family lives on, and we pick up their story there? Or do they suprise the fans, and come back with another season, some HBO specials, or movies or what?

Yeah, she must have known something about what was going down there or something, the look on her face has some meaning

I cant figure out if the song has some kind of clue "don't stop believing" by journey!
"don't stop believing" that this is the end?
"don't stop believing"everything goes on as normal?
"don't stop believing"We ran out of people to whack?
"don't stop believing"That an episode can suck as bad as this?

I don't think they left any loose ends. The ending is pretty self explanatory. The guy staring at them was a red herring.

Default They must have left....

It hanging like that for some legit reason, yet to unfold? To NOT do something going forward with this kinda ending, would be an insult to us as fans!

I have not been this disgusted since the Giants lost that Monday night game 4 years ago against Dallas on a last second 57 yard field goal! I feel so empty! There was no closure! I guess they sucked everybody in and left it wide open to do the movie.

Default Good point.....

True, but come on didn't you think someone was gonna get it, it was building such tension, as the door jingled and someone else entered the diner?

That was Chase's intent. Build the suspense and make you forget that a deal was made with Little Carmine and Butchie, Phil was murdered, and the real end to Tony...Carlo flippin'. So it really wasn't happily ever after...just not the blood and guts finale most fans crave.

From HBO.com forum...decent explanation

Quote:
So in the end, Tony gets whacked.
That's why the screen went black and the music stopped.
As he told Bobby Bacala in the first episode in Season 6, Part II, you never see it coming.
We see it coming with the guy going to the bathroom and the two gentlemen entering the restaurant.
Meadow is saved because she can't parallel park the car.
Shocking.
Jolting.
Took me a few minutes to figure out what happened (actually my stepson had to explain it to me).
And so it ends.
