MW shoots an 83 today...hints she might not play the 4th round? Definately in her own world!

Well at least she isn't showing any prejudice when it comes to the majors....pulls another classless move....+18 (or whatever she was) really makes that wrist hurt even more....On the other hand, I feel horrible for her because she got so screwed up by her Dad and Agency that she has no idea now how to handle things....I wish she had the stones to throw everyone the hell out, regroup with a new entourage and focus on golf....but I'm afraid that will never happen....

it's a shame that the circus around wie has gotten her to this point. she needs to take a break, take a few steps back and regroup. she also needs to become her own person! not everyone gets good parents (believe me, i know) and hers have definitely not kept her best interests at heart.

Reminds me of Sean O'hare whose father drilled him day in and da out to play. Once he finally dumped him, Sean hit his best stride and began winning.

Too much pressure. What were you doing at 16 years old? Certainly needs her life back and maybe going to college will help that.

Or maybe

She becomes best friends with Paris Hilton and makes a video

I realize there's not a whole lot of sympathy for her, but PGA tournament golf sure has some absurd, bizarre and antiquated rules! I'm sorry, but disqualified because she had walked a few feet too far away from the scorer's tent before someone caught her and reminded her to sign her scorecard? That's just a tad ridiculous, don't you think?

Golf does have some strange rules. To me the dumbest one is rule 16-1a/13, not allowing you to fix a spike mark.

Nope...it's the same for everyone. As long as everyone is playing under the same rule, there is nothing unfair about it. And this isn't just PGA Tournament golf...the same thing goes in amatuer competition as well. Michelle has been playing in tournament long enough to know the rule.

I couldn't agree more with you on this one. It was just kinda strange that allegedly the rules officials track her down in the parking lot Friday and have her sign the card and accept it.

The next day she plays the whole 18 and puts up a nice number. A full 24 hours later they disqualify the kid.

1) Doesn't it look like they let her play the 3rd round so they would have the gate of her being there given the lack of star power on the first page.

2) It's too bad the rule doesn't have something in it about a) a rules official accepting a players card. b) Once a player plays a full round the next day the signature thing on a card prior is mute or the rule is for the day of play.

You gotta play the green your ball lands on and not mess with the integrity of a green otherwise guys would be patting down every imperfection slowing play to a crawl. Soft spikes shouldn't rip up a green as bad as the metal ones.

You gotta play the green as it lies other than a ball mark which is considered a
potential defect.

The volunteers in the scoring tent are not rules officials. The volunteers tracked her down.
