Ask Revis. It's about getting paid.

Again, I agree... Its all about the CASH.

He also missed a game and only started 12 of the games. Maybe he's fading bad - but who knows.

Who is Brashton Stale again?
Byron Leftwhich 2.0? Is that another name for David Garrard?

Some quotes on Holt:
8.15.2010.
Patriots placed WR Torry Holt on injured reserve with a knee injury, ending his season. He'll need surgery on the knee, but this was essentially a nice way of the Pats telling Holt he wouldn't make the team. Now 34, Holt's career may be over. He's been unable to separate from defensive backs since the 2007 season, and was outplayed by youngsters Taylor Price and Brandon Tate in Patriots camp. It's quite possible that Holt's inability to play deep into his 30s will cost him a shot at the Hall of Fame. He made seven Pro Bowls with the Rams.

8.12.2010.
ESPN Boston's Mike Reiss is the latest scribe to predict that Torry Holt will not make the Patriots' roster this season.

8.10.2010.
Holt was already no better than sixth on the depth chart at wide receiver, and he offers no special teams value. At this point, he's far from a lock to make the final roster.

8.1.2010.
SI.com's Don Banks believes Torry Holt could be fighting rookie Taylor Price for the final receiver spot this summer. Julian Edelman and Brandon Tate are considered "sure bets" to make the roster. As predicted, Holt has struggled to separate from corners early in training camp.

3.11.2010
Free agent Torry Holt continues to lobby for the Bears to sign him.
Holt believes the marriage is an obvious fit because of his history in Mike Martz's offense. He also believes he'd come in and "beat quite a few of" the young receivers, which seems unlikely at his point in his career. The Bears have nothing to gain by bringing him in to block more explosive talents.
"Absolutely I would consider coming to Chicago because of Coach (Mike) Martz," Holt said. "I have kept in contact with him. That's my guy." Holt also admitted that, "In (Martz's) system you've got to be able to run," which the player formerly known as "Big Game" hasn't been able to do well since the 2007 season.

Released by the Jaguars says a lot, when they only have injury-prone Mike Sims-Walker thats worth anything on the roster.

I only read what comes up about the Pats when I type the name Randy Moss into google news search - and his name is in the story headline.

Rest assured - it's all been raving positives things about how sharp he's been in camp this year. That's all that really matters. Just wait and see.

He's even playing qb and safety at the end of intersquad scrimmages.

Yes.

Holt sounds like he needs Doug O' Neill training him and a drop into a 2K claiming race at Los Al to build his confidence back up and teach him how to win again.

bottom line jets are a top 4 if not top 3 team in the league, saying the pats and bmore rank higher is just to strike up an arguement. The team did nothing but improve in the off season, and were a game away from the championship with a rookie qb?

as for randy, if he don't get it this year i don't like his chances at getting it at all (at least not with the pats), people don't realize how many coaches and weapons they are without since the super bowl wins years ago.

boldin to bmore, sure its a good pick up, put they're still gonna be a ground and pound team. It gives them a legit threat deep, but who else are db's gonna focus on in that offense that play wr... stallworth? mason, king of the 10 yard out? he'll get doubled up by the saftey and get all the attention.

The Patriots are still a slight favorite to win the AFC East this year...

The Pats play a 1st place schedule and the Jets play a 2nd place schedule .. so you can be sure that has nothing to do with it.

The Pats are a shorter price than the Jets to win the AFC as well - but the Jets are shorter to win the Super Bowl.

I think the Jets have more fans and they've probably taken a lot of extra sucker money to win the Super Bowl...those type of people don't bet on divisional championship props and conference championship props.

If you started polling casual football bettors about which team is more likely to win the AFC East right now ... 8 out of 10 will probably tell you the Jets are more likely than the Patriots ... and they will base it off of what happened in last years playoffs.

Prior year playoff results are a pretty piss poor indication of what will happen the next year. The Super Bowl winner has only repeated once in the last 11 tries - and the team who loses the Super Bowl has failed to even make the Super Bowl the following year every year since the mid 1990's.

The season is a long grind and injuries and players playing through pain will basically wear teams down at the end. It's survival of the fittest come playoff time.

more gambling fans maybe... but sawx c's and pats nation is about as strong and awful as it gets.
i wouldn't say the jets were a sucker bet, if anything i think they're getting a lot of smart money which is waying them down.

serious question, who's the #1 rb in NE this year?

Oh, you mean like what happened to the Pats last year according to you and Mike Reiss over here? And tell me why that's not going to happen again this year with a worse offensive line and an even older team? The Gaytriots can win 10 games, but their SB contending days are gone buddy.

I'm the absolute wrong guy to ask. I think it's probably either going to BenJarvis Green-Ellis, Fred Taylor, or Phony Maroney.

BJGE was the first team rb in the preseason game - so maybe him.

The Pats fans are VERY pessimistic about this team ... at least from what I'm reading in the comment boxes at the end of the Moss stories I read from the NE papers.

I think if you restricted the betting to only Pats fans - the Jets would be a strong favorite to win the AFC East with the Pats and Dolphins co-second choices.

It won't happen because Moss is in sharp form now in a contract year - and Brady will get hit less because of the stellar addition of that new blocking tight end that I liked from the pre season game.
