Yeah, it would appear their signing room comes a year too late, though Wyc has had no problem paying luxury tax before. Perk makes 4 and change BTW.

Yeah I meant perkins and the number 19 pick. 4.9+1.1

I dont think you can sign that kind of deal if you are already over the cap. You can only resign your own guys to max contracts in that situation. What could happen though is Pierce opts out, they restructure his deal and add years and possibly might open up enough to get them under the cap?

Rasheed was a MLE guy and you may have to replace a retiring mid level exception guy with another MLE guy. Dont know for sure but thought i remember this happening before.

Really? Maybe this past year and his brief "mail it in so they will trade me" stint with the Jailblazers but he was tough as nails with Detroit.

From day one, I looked at Sheed as one of the most talented gifted players in the NBA, when did he ever produce numbers like that? When did he ever live on the block and not the 3 point line?

you are confusing his style of play with passion. Eddy Curry plays down on the blocks. Does he too play with passion?

No doubt that RW fell in love with the three point shot far too often but he was a really good defensive player and effective scorer for championship teams without a real superstar. He was also a hell of a player in portland till he decided he wanted out of that situation which was one of his better ideas. No doubt that his insaneness probably detracted from his overall game but I dont know anyone (well you i guess)who thinks that he didnt have a career that you would have thought he would have had.

Going back to that 1995 draft, the only player that had a better career than Sheed was Garnett. He is a unique talent that could fill the stat sheet in every category. During his era, how many f/c would you take over him? Duncan, garnett and ? There are maybe 2-3 other guys but not any beyond that.

He had a fine career that was 15 years long and he never played fewer than 62 games other than the lockout year.

It sounds like either Miami or Chicago is going to get hosed. If the Lebron/Bosh to Cleveland deal happens and they turn around and sign Mike Miller/Kyle Korver to the MLE, all of a sudden they are looking tough again and the loser in the D Wade sweepstakes is going to come away pretty empty. Miami has an especially tough scenario without Bosh as they have to fill out the entire roster and cant afford to pay above market prices to midlevel talent which they are almost forced to do.

Atlanta and Memphis both made awful moves, Atlanta especially so. Johnson for a max, $120 million deal is a bad deal if he were 23. Since he is turning 28 the last few years of this deal are gonna be ugly. And do they seriously think this team can make a run after this years disgraceful showing? Memphis giving Rudy Gay $82 million in a year where he is an unrestricted FA was borderline retarded.

The Laker's made a typically shrewd move signing Steve Blake to a 4 year deal for 16 million. He is a better option moving forward than Fisher or Farmer, one of which will probably be moving on.

Worst signings
Johnson -Atl
Gay- Mem
whoever signs Boozer-?
Stoudamire-NYK
Chris Duhon-Orlando

Of course they are. Signing Boozer would be further proof that Donnie Walsh is a fraud

So let me get this straight. The "capologist" on ESPN is saying that Miami can sign LeBron as well and STILL have 11 million in cap space, a trade exception and the MLE? Why were they saying that they would have almost no room if they signed all three?

Me neither...is a relative stiff.

If James doesn't get more attention he is going to fake a fall from the courtside seats at Quicken....and fall all the way to the floor.

He's making the announcement on ESPN at 9est tomorrow.

They are having a primetime "special" for the a-hole.

I'm surprised there isn't a warm up Larry King interview for this....where absolutley nothing is revealed other than James' admiration for his own ,in reality, ineptitude.

He is a black Gasol. Works a lot better as a second fiddle. May shower more than Gasol.
