Is that type of footwork some kind of illusion, or is there something to be said for it?

Please understand, in the RA vs. Z war, I'm RA all the way. But Zenyatta's last two performances have really got me wondering if I jumped on the right bandwagon.

Yep, that stuff doesn't show up in the numbers.

"Get out of my way, I'm coming through and I'm gonna kick your arse."

I've been watching thoroughbred racing for fifty years.

Zenyatta is near to equalizing my fun and adulation of having watched Secretariat.

Belated kudos to Trevor Denman for his call that I just caught on about the 4th time watching...

If you don't have goose bumps, you don't love horse racing!

Numbers are perhaps good for everyday and regular players.

I've not gotten rich from gambling wagers, though I did win a down payment for one house and paid cash for a two year old Fiat Spider once.

That Fiat Spider was not one of my better wagers, though I really did learn how to appreciate my tools and especially my socket set when I owned it.

When I wager on horses I shoot from the hip, go on gut, and rely greatly on seeing the horses before the race.

And only play about 10 to 15 races per month. If that.

Unless DerbyCat is touting me on something....

And I'm still playing after more than four decades, four kids and two wives.

If you can get two different wives to buy into your horse racing gambling, I'll submit you must be pretty good.

At something.....

Yes, he should certainly be applauded for chastising people if they don't have the exact same kind of enthusiasm he has.

I realize that's likely sarcasm.

I will say I sure miss the old days of Florida thoroughbred and dog racing when the stands were regularly pretty full....and often with tourist money.

I hit many a four digit trifecta at the dog track in those days. I think it's rare to see those kind of local pools any more.
