maybe you , but every liberal media outlet claimed the fix was in when oil prices shot up and that haliburton and the bush family profited directly from oil's rise

now superman is in office and oil px's are up from 50 /bbl range and not a word about it , if you think we live in a country that has an unbiased press you need to go to bellvue in nyc

2 wars are still being fought with only the finish line showing for one of them
The economy has stopped it's crash, and is turning around, albeit very slowly. It's a huge barge, not a speedboat <g>

You received a tax cut, already in paychecks, this spring, from this administration.

Yes, there are two wars, and yes, a finish line is showing in Iraq. That's exactly what Obama was elected to do.

Regarding the expiration of the Bush tax cuts? I don't know. Do you?

Are we just supposed to go ahead and blame Obama now for "something" that may or may not happen in the future, but we know we don't like ?

it's going to happen , that was part of the campaign promoise to roll back all the bush tax cuts .....all rates will go back to there 2001 levels , that means every working american will pay a higher tax rate in 2011 than in 2010

I think if you told people you were Liberal and not pretended to say you are GOP, you wouldnt be so pathetic on here. You are Liberal through and through and maybe even more liberal than most on this site... you should embrace that instead of have people laugh you off because you claim to be GOP. then maybe your opinion would be worth more than a grain of salt!

btw, you should definately be on Obama's PR staff.

just my opinion of course. have a nice day

Campaign promises are certainly a reason not to vote for someone, but blaming someone for a campaign promise being fullfilled, over a year before the subject of whether it will be fulfilled or not will even come up, seems a bit anticipatory.

ok on jan 1 2011 the bush tax cuts expire and everyone's rates go back to the 2001 level. are we to believe in 2010 that the president will send a new proposal to the house which would extend the bush tax cuts beyond 2010 ? will obama ask nancy pelosi to not let the tax rates go back to the '01 levels or will he just let them expire in '10 ? his campaign promise was to let all the bush tax cuts expire and when jan 1 '11 hits everyone in america who works will have a higher tax rate

what do you think riot , if you were in charge should the tax rates all go back to '01 levels ?

Hey, if, instead of talking about politics, it makes you feel more worthwhile or important to try and insult other people by calling them names on a message board, go right ahead. I'm happy to help you try and deal with your self-esteem issues.

Why thank you ms. pelosi!

Maybe they should add Internet Venting to the Health bill cause it helps ward off mental collapses. If you dont vent on the internet at least 15 times per year, you are charged a fine! It will save premiums down the line!

I don't know. Obama has continued alot of Bush policies (to the unhappiness of many of those who have elected him). But the economy is far different now than it was anticipated to be during the campaign. We'll see what happens next year.

Nope. But I've never liked the specificity of some of Bush's tax cuts, I'd probably alter that. I've always been in favor of a flat tax system, myself.

Um, he hasn't raised taxes, so far he's had the audacity to give you a tax cut.

Hey, in two years, if Obama eliminates all the Bush tax cuts unilaterally, without adjustment or any consideration to the economic realities of the time, you can come back and say, "I told you so!".

riot the point is this , things are bad , they may or may not be getting better , taxes are scheduled to rise next year on all income levels , do you really believe that this slow turning barge we are on will be able to handle higher taxes in 2011? What will a short term tax cut in '09 really be worth if we are still stuck in the mud next year or even growing slightly and everyone's taxes go back to the highest levels in over a decade? If the administration needs time for all the inherited problems that are on their plate , why not extend the bush tax cuts till the end of obama's 1st term ????

Maybe Obama will end up doing that. We'll see.
