Secondly, everyone's conveniently ignoring that he pretty much gave the game away two minutes earlier with two crappy passes on third and fourth down. Luckily for him the Vikings' defense was badass enough to get the ball back in 20 effing seconds and he got a prayer answered.
So after watching BF throw in that game you weren't impressed by the earlier throws. I'll be upfront here....I have come to hate the guy. The drama over the career, his family, the inability to make a decision or the whole training camp avoidance garbage, but I was shocked at what he was able to do with the arm on Sunday. The arm strength and accuracy was beyond any reasonable expectation. I hope GB plants him like a Maple next week but give the guy his due against San Fran who is probably one of the most improved teams in the league.

Instead of rating a thread. Is there an option to label a post BS or Not.

It was a good throw. But it took a great catch to make it a TD. That receiver doesn't do an amazing job of getting both feet down and Favre is the idiot who threw the ball out the back of the end zone. Yet all the credit is going to Favre when the receiver made the great play.

How many receivers make that catch? i can name a bunch off the top of my head that are in the league right now.

How many QB's get that throw off let alone put it where it needed to be?

I agree though. The receiver isnt getting enough credit.

Roethlisberger's TD throw to Holmes in last years Super Bowl is LIGHT YEARS better than Favre's latest prayer.

Ted Ginn absolutely couldnt have made that catch. Or just about any catch really.

Really? Why? Favre was almost forty yards away. How would Roethlisberger's throw have been more difficult? And how can it be "light years" better? I understand you are trying to use hyperbole but in this case it doesnt seem fitting. If you want to call Favre's play luck, I can see how you could think that. Any way you cut it though it is still a fabulous play.

True. Ted Ginn would have dropped it. T.O at this point couldnt have gotten open.

There are plenty that are capable of making that catch, how many times out of 100 do they actually make it though? Being capable, and actually doing it are completely different. Maybe 3 times out of 100 Lewis actually makes that catch and keeps both feet in bounds, it just happened that he made the catch at that key moment. In theory, every NFL receiver could make the catch Tyree did in the Super Bowl if you gave them enough opportunities to try it. It doesn't detract from the fact that he did make the catch at the big moment.

Nah, T.O. would have been open. Edwards would have just checked down to the TE or RB who would have been tackled in bounds to run out the clock.
