I saw an ad for this at Belmont yesterday, and I'm sure it said it was a $2 bet.
Can you confirm this Steve

Is the wager $1 or $2? There is an ad in tomorrow's DRF that says NJ rules govern and that this is a $2 base wager. Does that mean $2 minimum or part wheels so long as $2 are wagered.

60-Minute Six Rules (NJ Pick 6 rules apply; 25% takeout)

MINIMUM DOLLAR AMOUNT OF THE WAGER: $2.

CARRYOVER PROVISIONS: If no bettor successfully selects all winning horses in each of the 6 races comprising the 60-Minute Six, 75% of the net pool will be carried over to the racing following day on which the wager is offered with the remaining 25% of the net pool distributed as a single price pool to those bettors who selected the greatest number of first-place finishers.

METHOD OF POOL DISTRIBUTION: Successful winners selecting all winning horses in the 60-Minute Six will equally share 75% of the net pool with a minor payout of 25%.

DEAD HEAT: In the event of a dead heat for first place in any of the 60-Minute Six races representing two or more betting interests, all horses involved in the dead heat shall be considered a winning horse with each winning wager receiving an equal share of the 60-Minute Six pool.

SCRATCHES: In the event of a scratch of an entire wagering interest in any of the races comprising the 60-Minute Six, there will be no refunds. Wagers on a scratched wagering interest for purposes of the 60-Minute Six pool, shall be deemed wagers upon the wagering interest upon which the most money has been wagered in the win pool at the close of betting for the race. In the event of a money tie, the wagering interest with the most inside post position shall be designated.

CHANGE OF SURFACE: In the event that a turf race is switched to the main track after the close of wagering for the 60-Minute Six, that race shall be declared a “no contest” for any 60-Minute Six wager involving that race, and the net pool will be distributed as a single price pool to those whose selections finished first in the greatest number of remaining 60-Minute Six races.

NO CONTEST RACES: When four or more of the races comprising the 60-Minute Six are declared "no contest", the 60-Minute Six shall be refunded.

My hunch is that they originally planned to have a $1 minimum, then after realizing what a terrible job they did of advertising, figured they might actually have to give substantial coin away to meet the $100,000 guarantee. I wish they wouldve kept it at $1 and just lowered the guarantee to $50,000, then raised it if the bet caught on.

25% takeout AND $2 minimum? Wow, forget that. Was looking forward to giving this a shot too.

Default Twinspires says they will support it......

agree, for a $1 I would have taken a toss. Haven't looked at the sequence though.

Yep - 15% takeout and $1 minimum sounded a whole lot better.

This wager will now only get a look if you had a carryover the week prior or the pool is dramatically short of reaching the 100K guarentee.

I may be wrong on this, but make sure tomorrow that you can't play it for $1 as I think there may have been a late change ( at least at NYRA but if so probably everywhere ).

Not sure of this but check it out tomorrow.

I heard the minimum you can spend is $2. It is a $1 play, but your ticket must cost atleast $2. Five singles, and 1 race with two horses... would cost $2. That's what TVG had up tonite. They could be wrong. I'm not playing it. At 25% take-out, they can go fck themselves. They must really think we are all so stupid. I don't care if it is a $1 or $2 bet. Fact is the take-out of 25% is asinine.

Arrow 60 Min. P6 ALERT: $2 straight; $1 part-wheels

Good news...

Just off phone with Sal Sinatra at PHA Park... The 60-6 WILL BE a $1 bet as long as it isn't straight... If you bet six singles, it's $2, otherwise any part-wheel is a $1 minimum...

Dennis Dowd of New Jersey Sports and Expoasition got this straightened out as of this morning.
