Default Trainers Furious at Hollywood Park

All the trainers were so happy with the new surface at Hollywood Park. That was until this weekend. I guess the track superintendant thought there was an anti-speed bias the first couple of days, so he decided to start watering the track like crazy. The result was that the tracks became lightening fast and Maiden $32k claimers ran 6 furlongs in 1:08 3/5 on Saturday.

From what I have heard, you have never seen so many trainers this angry. They were in the racing office screaming on Sunday morning. You've never seen this many people complain. They said that the track was being ruined with all the water. It was making the track rock-hard and unsafe. Frankel had a horse break down in the morning.

Anyway, the track superintendant has gotten the message and they are going to stop watering the track so much. They actually stopped on Sunday and the track seemed to be fine for the races on Sunday.
