There's always room for a lil bounce!

All joking aside, the field looks solid, and i think there's a few horses, Premium Tap in particular, with the potential to win it at a price.

For Ball Four-
It's the next logical step... especially if he's supplimented. Yeah, he'll probably get destroyed, but if I were his owners and he were supplimented, I'd take that "Leap of Faith". Maybe even if he weren't supplimented...

For Premium Tap-
No matter how much you wanna say it's Desormeaux's fault or not, he had a big excuse. He should definately be entered in the BC Classic.

Lawyer Ron-
He's being trained by Pletcher now... another sign that he's probably gonna go. If Pletcher can get him to settle of the pace... He could be nasty.

PointG...

Excellent point about Strong Contendor... I can talk about the horse that Strong Contendor beat all day long, but I don't even think of himself... duh

these are just front runner type folks. they'll root for anything that is favored to win and they jump ship asap if there is a chink in the armor.

LOL, but you must admit there is a bandwagon effect. will they bet a ton on Bernie to show in the BC ? ahhh, for him to finish 4th would be sweet indeed.

LMAO,
Ball 4 cant take that synthetic crap with him to Louisville.

anyway,
I dont give GW and shot in a race like the BCC.
David Junior yes.
GW no.

Bernardini is going to have to forget to show up for anyone else to win though.

an interesting thought crossed my mind at Saratoga.
id like to see Pine Island in the BCC.
im not sure she is going to win the BCD against a good group of older females, so why not give her the extra distance she wants and run her against males in the biggest dirt race in the world?
its not going to happen, but Id be cool if it did.

That being said. I think you're a little to HIGH on this one @ the moment.

alright,
where am I going wrong.

I dont see anyone beating him.
not b/c of him, but I dont know what else to like.
DCat is not going to face him b/c of the owners.
DJunior has never run on dirt.
nothing on the east coast is going to beat him, thats been proven.
Lava Man has been beating some really bad horses.
I was hoping another 3Yo would jump up, but Bright One never ran a step in Indiana the other night.
Strong Contender is just not fast enough I dont think. Hell, he could not even beat Bluegrass Cat.
Invasor? Im doubting it.

dude, tell me what Im missing. I dont want to like an even money favorite.
id like to think I can come up with something better, but I dont see where I can.

Wow, Repent... you may be on to something with Pine Island. For some reason, and im saying this knowing im going to get ridicule... it makes sense to me! She'd probably be the only one coming at Bernadini down the stretch.

euro, did you read or hear something about Premium Tap going? After the Woodward, Kimmel said it was unlikely. I don't see that the next race, excuses or not, would be enough to change his mind.

What happened to Don't Get Mad this year?
I figured if anyone loves Churchill, it's this guy. I know his first race back 4th of July weekend was horrible, and I think he may have raced once after that and ran equally bad. Did they retire him?

And I assume the following horses are on the shelf and won't be running:
Buzzards Bay, Deputy Glitters, Sharp Humor, Jazil, Steppenwolfer.

It would be great to have Wilko run. Just to hear some people claim he's still a great horse capable of winning.

It's funny that you asked that... I always thought that Bernardini looked a lot like DGM.

I wonder what they'd put for a headline if a certain closer wins. Underneath it would have to read something on the lines of "'horse for course' Giacomo ends career with perfect record - at Churchill." The world will laugh if Gomez got PD to the wire, but everyone will think the apocolypse is near if this case of de ja vu taps the bank.
