Thought Velazquez filled in more than ably for injured Junior Alvarado on no notice. That check on the backstretch cost Cannon 3+ lengths and Johnny said he wouldn't help for a while before picking the bit back up. Made the steady advance to just miss in a very good effort for the big gelding. Back in 3-4 weeks which could mean a start on Alabama or Travers Day. Thanks to everyone that came out!
