So all this hype abut DMC by pretty much everyone, was just that, huh? Go figure? Since it's now apparent that ALL thought BL was the better horse. Should I bother looking up some of your comments about DMC?

Probably not.
Her 104 was for the Fantasy. . .

She got a 99 for the Delaware Oaks, which started as a 94 and was then changed to a 95 before being upgraded (correctly) to its current level. She got a 100 today.

No - her 104 Beyer came in the Fantasy - the start before her Kentucky Oaks win. By comparison, Rachel Alexandra won the Fantasy with a 101 the year prior - albeit under a full nelson hold.

Everyones figure for the Delaware Park race is worthless no matter what they came back with because of the bad weather.

Devil May Care is a very good 3-year-old filly .. but she's been found out at 10 furlongs. Her sire Malibu Moon is a good speed influence who was fragile and never raced beyond 5 furlongs. Her younger half bro Regal Ransom is a need the lead type. Devil May Care's top Beyer of 100 came in the Bonnie Miss and her final 1/8th was 13.50 seconds and she was punch drunk. She's basically a miler - but against company like Biofuel and Acting Happy she can beat them further. That's clear after today.

Blind Luck - style wise anyway - reminds me a lot of her dam sire Best of Luck. He was 15 lengths back in the Belmont that Lemon Drop Kid won and closed for 4th place. He won the Stuyvecent at AQU from about 20 lengths back. Just a one dimensional deep closing router who can stay.

The Kansas City Royals have more say in this year's World Series than Quality Road does with how DEVIL MAY CARE performs.
you did not read what i said...it had nothing to do with quality road. it had to do with level of comp. and class......devil may care was beating plugs until yesterday. that road came to an end.....as predicted....by me and the fat man and homer. i guess pletcher did not rub anything......lol

I am sure, too, just as I'm sure I could handicap races better than you with my eyes closed. That says ALOT, seeing how poor I've been playing lately.

Maybe one of these days, you'll chime in on one of these threads before the race is run, and we all might be smarter and richer players for listening to you. But until then, stay posting the same stale $hit in a Zenyatta thread or something.

Or take me up on a handicapping contest, loser not being allowed to post on the board ever again. Put your laughably bad opinion up on the line against mine. Loser lurks forever. You'll probably chickenshit and pussyfoot your way out of it with a 'chalk eating weasel' cop-out with some clever line that you've conjured up over the past few hours. Let's see if you have any real ''move up's'' or you are just the lame person that you've painted yourself out to be all these years. In or Out, homey.

It seems like we might see Blind Luck, Devil May Care, and Havre de Grace show up in the Cotillion at 1 1/8.

If they run against Blind Luck again - they better allow DMC to get much more early separation than they had yesterday.

Give me a setup, other than a speed biased track where DMC gets to sit behind a 3 horse speed duel, where she beats BL or, even, HDG. Clearly, she can't run with these two in crunch time. Is she, essentially, done? Even at 9F, I don't think she beats these horses without a perfect trip.

Blind Luck completely out-ran Devil May Care yesterday. It's hard to find an excuse for DMC to be honest.

Blind Luck is legit, relative to the crop anyway. Her KY Oaks was an amazing performance.

I've seen the race. We discussed it in detail a while back. All this race shows me is that she can't run under adversity. Granted no horse wins with that trip but her GP and other recent races in NY show that she CAN run when she gets a good setup.

If Devil May Care competed against Blind Luck at her best distance - which is probably 7 furlongs or a mile in my opinion - do you still think she'd only have 2 lengths early separation on her?

After 8fs in the Derby - Devil May Care was still in hand and clearly infront of good miler horses like Conveyance, Discreetly Mine, and Sidney's Candy ... when put to a drive in the final quarter mile, she proceeded to give 10.5 lengths away through a final quarter mile of 26.80

She basically staggered her final quarter mile in a trotter like 28.50 while horses like Ice Box and Make Music For Me absolutely ran over the top of her in the stretch.

I agree that she ran like the 4th best horse in the Alabama field yesterday - but the 10f distance is an excuse - and she is not the 4th best horse in that race. At 7 furlongs - I believe she'd take that field apart. Velazquez thought his best chance was to take her back and try to outfinish Blind Luck.

I just noticed Life At Ten is by Malibu Moon as well. She won the Del Cap at 10 furlongs. I wonder if she can beat Rachel next Sunday at 10 F.

According to some, Rachel cannot get 10 F, despite never even trying the distance. Should be an interesting race of who will last the longest.

According to some L@T is simply to slow.

Life at Ten's two big wins have been aided greatly by circumstances. The track was very speed favoring when she won the Ogden Phipps and tactically she had a gigantic advantage in the Del Cap. She will certainly receive a test the likes of which she hasn't seen before and Rachel will also face the best horse she's seen in 2010, so it's a good matchup I think.

You of all people know this will be hard for me to say, if Rachel is 80% of what she was last year, she will BLAST L@T, totally destroy her.
