I'm at a conference in California and just heard Al Gore speak. He was the keynote speaker. He was really interesting. His TN accent comes out more as he gets going.

I think too it's a 54 year old woman trying to cash in. It's too suspect that she waited till now to bring anything up.

It was brought up when it happened a long time ago. The police did not end up charging him because it was a "he said, she said" situation. They could not have proved the case beyond a reasonable doubt.

Gore does not deny the incident. He simply says, "No comment."

There is no doubt that she was in his room and that something happened. The police don't dispute that. We know something happened but we don't know exactly what happened.

and with mussolini, the trains ran on time...

but apparently, his caring of the environment wasn't enough for his wife. very telling that she walked.

I think Gore is more of an oppurtunist than an environmentalist. My understanding was that back when he was planning to run for President the first time back in 1992, he needed an identity. He and his handlers decided that most people were pro-environment and that this would be a good, safe identity for him. So he came out with this book that many people say was actually written by a ghost-writer. I think the book was called "Earth in the Balance".

Anyway, who knows if Gore truly cares about the environment. He's been getting rich from his books and speeches about the environemt. There's no doubt about that. He may really care about the environment. Who knows? But the guy is such a phony that I have my doubts.

I was surprised about that too. When I first heard the story, I assumed that the masseuse was in her 20s or 30s.

he's no doubt had massages in the past that turned out to be more....he figured this would be the same.
besides, he's close to 60, his wife is over 50-why would he turn down a lady with similar age? it's really nothing to do with age anyway....sexual assaults have been committed against women in their 70's and 80's. it's not as tho these crimes happen only against good looking women and the guy couldn't help himself.
