Yeah. He is far from an idiot. He is in the small percentile that doesn't fall into the idiot category. By switching agents Garcia did the right thing. He now is riding for one of the premier trainers. Baffert ALWAYS has the best horses so Garcia will be set. Lone Star Derby...Preakness......kid is on a roll.

Martin Garcia has a great story, I have no doubt he feels blessed to have the opportunities that he has been afforded. He has been winning a high percentage of races with Baffert and he earned this ride. He still has a lot to learn but considering he's been riding for less than five years, he's done very well for himself. Martin is a good kid and I personally am very happy for him.

On a side note, I found DerbyTrail back in 2006 when I googled Martin's name looking for a newspaper article I had heard about - thank you Martin!

I'm very happy for Martin. Culmination of alot of very hard work and perseverence. He deserves all that's coming to him.

As for Rosario I do wish him well. He's the competition now though and to that end I root for Tyler to beat him every time.

I'm sure it's a bit sweeter when Joe Torre beats the Yankees or Girardi the Marlins.

I heard Garcia claimed that without your help none of this would be possible. It must be very satisfing to know Joel and Martin think the world of you.. It's the little things in life that make all the difference, your a hell of an agent and have turned out two very fine jocks. I heard Garcia still has a great relationship with the folks that owned the deli....I'll take a half of ham and a 1/3 of swiss Vic sliced thin!

Nice win on the 20-1 shot for tyler on Jack Van Berg first timer today. He busted my pick 4 ticket by beating the favorite. Did you know something about this horse that we all did not?
