I like Guillot saying that he isnt a cheater. You are from the crookedest racing jurisdiction in the country and your horse just got a positive for Winstrol. There is zero chance of it being "environmental contamination" unless she has been hanging around Golds Gym. There are lots of things that can get into a horses system by mistake, Winstrol isnt one of them.
Isn't Winstrol a steriod that shouldn't be banned?

The issue is rarely the drug. Most of them used responsibly could make equine health more realistic. If your horse can benefit from a banned substance there needs to be a mechanism to have it prescribed and administered. Maybe like a vet meds list? If disclosure to the public is available, I see no reason to ban meds which can be used properly to benefit a horse. Even a drug like Winstrol that when abused is preformance enhancing needs to be available to horseman in qualified cases. Although I love listening to Dutrow from an entertainment point of view, when he does an interview and they ask him about Winstrol and he states "I don't know why I use it I give it to all of my horses once a month" it really doesn't come off well. lol

That seems pretty comedy....
This happened at Woodbine last year, Simon Husbands(Patrick's brother) was originally suspended for how should I phrase this "not appearing to try hard enough" but was eventually reinstated when the Trainer came to his defense. Apparently if you persuade the horse in question too ethusiastically, he/she would simply run slower. ?
