Ron Shandler's Baseball HQ had analysis of the first two rounds Saturday... Here's their plus take on Marc!
Arizona Diamondbacks 64. Marc Krauss, OF, University of Ohio Krauss is a solidly-built collegiate corner OF who dominated the MAC this spring. Krauss has a quick LH bat, generates good power, solid plate discipline, and uses the entire field. His approach at the plate led to an impressive junior season in which he hit .402/.521/.852 with 13 double, 27 home runs, and an EYE of 1.57 in 209 AB. There are some concerns about how Krauss’ power will translate when he moves to wood bats and he isn’t as good as fellow MAC prospect Nolan Reimold was a few years ago, but he does have some interesting potential.
