Kev,I think the guy often lacks judgement( not effort.)Seems like Garrett thought the race was a furlong shorter than what it was,but lets avoid the subject.Took all of 15 minutes for you to get the ball-licker's response huh? Not surprised.BTW,do you remember the name of that V Cerin horse that Gomez butchered the ride on going down the hill at Anita? We talked about it one time, but the name escapes me.

Oh come on now GPK. I mean I SURELY don't have any idea what I am seeing when I watch a race. I mean what criticisim I took for pointing out his majesty's shortcomings was certainly wrong huh?
Bottom line is that he is an amazing talent who still doesnt ride with his head.

His worst rode ever was Sigfreto and I hope he gets the clap for it, I really mean that.

Oh well....COry just helped me out in the 4th at DelMar
He may have held 2nd but he definitely would have held 3rd. He needs to be fined for that ride, he really does.

Scuds...not sure if you are being faciscious...but honestly I can't remember the horse from the turf sprint. I watch so many races, thats why I try and make note and add them to DRF when I seen a tough trip or bad ride, for their next out race.

Is it Sigfreto?

Now you know 2. Most west coast riders (and Garret is a grad of the SoCal penal colony)can't tell time so there is no need to know what a clock is. You can ask them about Pace and they think Salsa.

SANTA ANITA PARK
Thu, Feb 9th, 2006 - Race 7
Purse: $52,000 Type: Allowance optional claiming, 4yo & Up Distance: 6 1/2F Surface: Turf

#2 Kewen..........Has the horse in no man's land, and is rewarded with a predictable shove way wide when they hit the dirt.Nothing near that bad on that horse's ppf down the hill. That's all compliments of Gomez having the horse in an awful spot at the wrong time.He was just asking for trouble in that spot.Like with most of the trouble he has.

I don't,but I know it was down the hill, and on a Wednesday or Thursday during the middle of the meet. The distance is always ABOUT 6.5 F.So,it is easier to find than you might think.

I don't know what he is,but the I know the rides on these 3 chalks were awful... Kewen,Sigfreto, and TM BLING. He may have done this n' that.."look at the stats," but on those 3 horses his decision making was very poor.

Your views have slowly been changing over the last year. A year ago, you said that the guy stinks period. A few months ago, you said that he is a moron. Then you said he has some talent but is a moron. Then it changed to he has more talent than anyone but is inconsistent. Pretty soon, you'll be saying that he's the best jockey period. You won't be able to say that he suddenly learned how to ride. He's been riding for 15 years. You'll have to admit that you originally misjudged him.

You can't judge anyone in any sport based on their performance in any given month. Every single great player in every sport has had bad months. If you checked anyone's stats including Michael Jordan and Wayne Gretzky, you would see that they had some slumps. The only thing that matters is how someone does over time.

Just out of curiosity, where do you rank Gomez overall? I know you think he has tremendous physical talent but is lacking upstairs. Where does he rank overall? If you had to hire a jock to ride for you full-time, what would your list look like? Who would be your first choice, second choice, third choice, etc? I assume JV would be your first choice.

What are you smoking? He rode the horse all the way to the wire. He didn't stop riding the horse until he was 4th and that happened about one foot from the wire.

he was inhaled nearing the wire by a couple horses after running the race fairly close to some swift fractions, he made his move on the turn and tried to steal it but fell short. he got all he could have out of that horse and I think faulting the ride is a little nutty.
