imho... to be fair the winner overcame being blocked for much of the stretch...then was yanked wide and made a determined run to get up....then again she was one I had been waiting for to show up in the entries

The winner had a dream trip. Being hemmed in, while saving ground, as others were making premature wide moves, is fine as long as you eventually get out, which the winner did.

For what it's worth, there are no sour grapes here, as I boxed the first two finishers in the exacta.

Many horses get steadied along in traffic. To me, this does not constitute trouble.

Has Jorge Chavez ever ridden a horse that was never checked or steadied?

It's been a long week. It's the first horse I remember the Chief training for Flying Zee. Judging by it's first race, though she did have a little trouble, and probably needed the race, I hope he gets a better one down the road.
