I'm not sure who taught him, but unfortunately I get them. Not anymore now after this, but I did. Funny, he always seems to hit a lot when he doesn't post his plays. Pretty ironic. The best was the other day he told me he was at OTB and had $200 left. So he tells me about the bets he made and how big he won. The only problem was the bets he made were more than $200. I think he was lying. I was shocked.

Impossible.

The exactas as a substitute for the place are a great strategy if you feel moderately strong about any other horse in the race.

I think if you only see one....and the pools are appropriate.......throw the win/place action out there and keep it simple.

I hate to include any horse in my wager I do not feel very strongly will be where my $$ is.

to be honest, i don't know if i'd have finished ahead on the day with just the wps betting. i know i hit a couple really good ones, but i also did very well with exactas those two days that paid nicely, also the early daily double.
but like i said above, i don't play 2/3-1's either.
i'm not a big gambler, i don't go that often, so i'm still somewhat tentative. but we had a hell of a great time up there!

Recently, I strayed from the script with this across the board stuff and have not been nearly as successful. So the advice of Hoss is very sensible to me.
hossy, i disagree. i think roller doc and hrfan will get along fine.
