Leg A - Laurel - R9 - Miracle Wood 70K #8 Cave's Valley - Looks to rebound with the blinkers off his poor performance as the favorite in the Whirlaway. #6 Gattopardo - Has never been worse than 2nd and should be forwardly placed. #5 Malibu Kid - Likes the surface and is in good form. Leg B - Gulfstream Park - R7 - Alw46.5N1X FL breds Turf #11 El Sultry Sun - Nice debut last summer at BEL and Kimmel is excellent off a long layoff. #7 Bearish - Mott brings him back to his preferred surface (Turf). #12 He's Tuned - His turf races and been extremely consistent. Leg C - Santa Anita - R4 - OC40K/N1X Turf #8 Chancellor - Nice blowout on Wed 2/27 and the marathon trip is well within his scope. Mandella, G runner just missed twice at 1 1/8 miles. Aggressive Singleton in open race. Leg D - Gulfstream Park - R8 - Alw41.5K #9 Bordeaux Bandit - Was 2nd to runaway winner Hey Byrn (Runs on Sunday), but his race two back shows what kind of potential this Zito runner might have. I look for him to excel going two turns. SCR will take on Alaazo and Hey Bryn on Sunday 3/2 Race 3 #6 Extreme Frolic - 2nd at the distance to the highly regarded Alaazo. #1 Cool Gator - Canadian invader finished 2nd by a head in the G3 Grey BC at Woodbine and picks up the services of Prado. Leg E - Santa Anita - R5 - Starter Alw 40K #3 Coronas at Delmar - Hard knocker is good at this level and capable of finding the winner's circle. #5 Touch My Abs - The furlong cutback should help the cause. #7 C R Caper - Obliged as the favorite in debut and not facing any monsters here. Magna PK5 - 5 6 8 / 7 11 12 / 8 / 1 6 / 3 5 7 = $108 Santa Anita R7 - G3 Sham #6 Colonel John - Gutsy 2nd in G1 Cash Call Futurity and has been freshened up a bit for '08 campaign. WinStar homebred is a serious contender on the road to the Derby. #7 Reflect Time (Jpn) - I expect him to be a little closer to the pace with the addition of the blinkers and he's definitely a player here. #1 El Gato Malo - Unblemished record by open lengths, what's not to like? I still have my reservations about him handling the longer distances. #2 Success Fee - Fits the mold of this year's talented maiden (Tiago broke maiden in the Santa Anita Derby '07). W/P on #6 Tri Key - 6 / 1 2 7 R8 - G1 Frank E. Kilroe - Turf #1 War Monger - Mott ships in from Florida with talented 4 yr old turfer. He's one that could make some serious noise in the turf division. #7 Ever a Friend - BSF not up to par with top contenders, but the mile distance will suit him fine. #3 Out of Control (Brz) - Has been a force in the turf division in Cali for the last year and has home court advantage. Ex Box - 1 / 3 7 R9 - G1 Santa Anita Handicap (Big Cap) #2 Tiago - No excuses today with the track recently playing kind to closers and he's making his 3rd start off a layoff and year. This race will determine if Tiago can take the next step and stay at the top level throughout the year. I'm expecting a huge race out of him. #4 Medici Code - Looks to make the transition from the Turf to Synthetic at a price. #10 Heatseeker (Ire) - He's in razor sharp form and looks to rally late for a share. #5 Awesome Gem - A must include in any exotic wager. Super consistent. Win on #2 Tri Key - 2 / 4 5 10 Good Racing Luck
