War Monger dropped a nuclear bomb on that field.

I think that Rene Douglass grabbed a hot dog in the stretch, that's how wide he was!

War Monger is for real. Soldier's Dancer is a nice horse.

I'll watch the race again but I think you need to be careful about equating these two horses.

Persecution complex?

It doesn't suit you.

Let me watch the race again. War Monger had a sweet trip....no doubt.

I've been following SD since last year. He teases, he makes IMPRESSIVE runs, YET, he never gets it done. In that stake down at CNL (that Red Giant won), for example, he had a clear inside run and HUNG like a dog.
I'm not doubting that he has ability but he's not running up to it, for whatever reason.

This is a case where experience/intuition needs to transcend the trip. They could rerun this race any number of times and WM still beats him and buries the field.

Nope.
He easily could have gotten trapped.
I dont think you can make this statement
about a turf race like this.

Thank Kent. Watch the replay.

I doubt that. War Monger didn't exactly have a dream trip. Checked slightly on the backstretch.

looked like he had a great chance to get outside at the top of the stretch when the 2 went wide.

Just saw the replay. It figures.
Out of my last 6 bets, I've had 1 winner and 4 seconds --- 2 of which I should've won. The other one was this horse. If he gets out, like he's supposed to, he wins.
