They could have easily traded the pick for Gasol which is EXACTLY what the Bulls need. The one negative about Paxson is that he is worried about giving up a mess of players for one guy, but there is only FIVE guys on the court. All you need in the NBA is 8 guys, and like 7 stiffs to eat up garbage time. If they could get a Gasol type player, this team would be fine.

2ndly, please remember that the '85 Bears were the best team of all time, there isn't a single team that could have kept up with them, and if you say this years NE you are out of your mind. Brady would have been shitting his pants with Wilbur Marshall, Otis Wilson and Singletary breathing down his neck every five minutes.
mongo.... king richard dent head hunting .and moss would have got high/lowed by fencik/duerson...,, sweetness,,,no doubt scavs toast...

Miami did a good job keeping up with them

Why would Memphis trade Gasol for that pick? Chicago is screwed because they are a transition team who cant play any other style. Wallace is washed up and is a huge drain on the salary cap. They dont have a single low post threat and they have not been particularly good or energetic on defense, the perimiter game is suspect, Deng has regressed, etc. What they should have done was try to reaquire Curry from the Knicks for Wallace. It would help Chicago and you know Isiah would make the trade for a washed up guy making 15 million a year..

Thats cause Miami had the best fast release QB of all-time.

Brady would not be sitting back in the pocket with a little paper umbrella in his mixed drink like he can do today.

I have never in my life seen a QB get as much time as Brady this year. Marino made his time. Take nothing away from Brady, he is a laser, but my goodness I think I could complete a few passes with as much time as he gets. Last few games he has actually been hit though.

Would have been a very interesting game. 85 Bears go to go down as one of, if not the greatest teams of all time.

At this point, with the minutes Noah is getting, anyone would have done. Really would not have mattered. When you pick a guy that high for a spot you think you need... 12 min a game...

I think the player may not have been assessed properly. If Skiles really wanted a low post game from Noah.

I don't think he was assessed wrong. I think that everyone knew exactly what Noah was/is. He's just like Tyrus Thomas and Ben Wallace. Guys that are limited offensively but active on the defensive end. Maybe trading the pick would have been the move to make but there really wasn't another player for them to take at that point. When there isn't a player that a team can draft to help fill a specific need, that's when you resort to taking the best player available at that point. They now have enough pieces to make a move though and get different ones that fit. The team they have now just doesn't fit well on the court but I think that if Paxson decides to grow some balls and make a move, this team could be right back in the thick of things in the East.

Except for Dennis Green.
He only knows exactly who the Bears are.

Tomorrow on Sportscenter is the 85' Bears vs 07' Patriots, looking forward to what Parcells has to say about the matchup

I know one thing: the 85 Bears team would've roughed Moss up and made his life miserable.

They would have ripped his head off. The thing is though that the 85' Bears style of play is a no-no in today's league. The Bears would have had at least 4 roughing or unsportsman conduct penalties per game
