NONE of it was right. It got out of control and it was unfortunate.

well the cops should be fired. how many people stand up and shout at these things, many. how many people get tased for it ?
almost none. do they get thrown out ? yes. and sometimes charged with disorderly conduct ? yeah. but face it cops are trained at this sort of thing. this guy is zero threat . escort him out and be done with it. there were 6 of them for crying out loud. nothing should of left there belt except for the cuffs, end of story. but i still got a laugh oyut of the whole thing!

It was ridiculous. There were 6 cops there and between them they couldn't get a guy that was 145 ponds soaking wet under control and out of the room. All the guy did was ask a question, and he ends up getting tased. It's a good thing the guy didn't hold up a sign, he might have gotten shot.

They should just get rid of campus police all together. Until a crazy student kills 20 people in a class and everyone is wondering why there was no one there to protect them.

Like a true Republican instilling fear to justify our rights being taken away.

It's not instilling fear.....It's common sense. Something the Democrats seem to lose more & more of all the time. People love to take rights away from the cops until they need protection from them.

a witness to the latter part of the confrontation said that he was subdued, not struggling--just kept talking. but wasn't fighting back, not moving, they had him under control--so why tase him? i think just to shut him up--and talking isn't illegal--nor is it resisting.
it was supposedly an open forum, questions could be asked by anyone on any subject. but i guess that was only if the right any subjects came up. he supposedly took too long, so they cut off the mic. but the campus police were right there, so eager to grab the guy. it seemed mishandled, and sheer overkill, from the start.

The kid was whiny , but i didn't see a reason for him to be tased. It's not like he was shouting profane language or making death threats. As far as resisting arrest.... Come on, thats pretty weak. My favorite part was when they wanted to charge him with inciting a riot... wtf....

Finally watched that too and thought the same thing, but eventually it got a little scary. Inciting a riot? You could arm that guy with four nukes and he'd still be too much of a tool to incite a riot. Scary $h!t what they can take you into custody for (and apparently tase you for).

First off, this thing was videotaped by about 100 camera's. This link shows a different angle, as well as the aftermath.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V8ndctwAJmU

The kid's actions are nothing short of bizarre. You can see that he is being led up the stairs, and seems to attempt an escape of some-sort, which is what led to the tasing. Then they show the aftermath, and instead of taking him somewhere, they just kind of hang out in the hallway. While hand-cuffed, and after being tased, he asks about his book? Why in the world would he be so interested in the whereabouts of his book with what he was going through? This whole incident just doesn't "smell" right!

i wish i had one. but for Christ sakes anyone that thinks these parties are running the country good is either just stupid or crazy. then some guy talks about common sense while hes touting the republicans who ,quite frankly, are going down in flames. which leaves us with the dems, wow what a bargain. then the ones on BOTH sides that tell the truth and want the best for us are shunned and given no shot. common sense ,i have to laugh. tell me when they govern on common sense, then wake up please ! to clear things up i do live in saratoga but go down to the city often. i was there yesterday when i posted that comment.

I love the way you respect other peoples opinions by blasting them and calling them stupid. Your pompous attitude must make people despise you.

i'm sorry you depise me sir. but i'm tired of the BS redirick ,people like you spout. when something is done right and thought out. i'll give the system credit. i deal in facts and whats right or whats wrong. right now things are not going good for this country at all. i'm not worried about people liking me especially if i'm stating something needs to be changed . and if your supreme decider is doing so well then why does most of the world laugh at us now and think were all stupid? because our good name and reputation has been tarnished for years ahead now. of course you depise me because people like me make all the bean counters out there look at things they don't want to see. you think this is as bad as it gets for the republicans, watch the next couple of elections buddy. which is a shame because i used to vote for them more than the other guys. this last "regime" has them in the gutter and it will take years to fix. of course the best thing going for them is the democrats . and in the "best" country in the world you don't even see that as sad. so go ahead its the "lefts" fault ,its the 'rights" fault garbage. meanwhile nothing changes and we all go down. its really all of our fault for accepting the BS thats going on right now especially folks like you that go along with it . i'm not worried about being liked. i'm worried about my kids and their kids in the future . look at our borders one side wants their votes and social programs the other wants cheap labor. when one of those jihadi scumbags brings God knows what in here. you will be the first one crying. but i'm wrong things are great go back to sleep .
