What a rip off! I ordered general admission tix as I don't sit in my seat, I like to wander from the paddock then back to the track and move around throughout the day. I can't believe they would sell tickets that won't let you into the track. When I ordered them I thought they would be down near section 500 since there weren't any section 500 seats designated for sale on Friday or Saturday.

I thought about just watching it on TV but changed my mind hoping to see some of the best horses in the world race, not get saddled up. I think it is unconscionable to sell a ticket to the track with no view of the track.

Did it tell you where your seats will be?

Based on what my CC was charged I'm assuiming I'm either in the "Temporary bleachers" at the top of the stretch or in clubhouse turn. Given my choice I would rather be at the head of the lane than the clubhouse turn. Either way the only view of the finish I get will be on the big screen monitors that will be in the infield.

It's what happens at these small venues. Virtually all of the apron will be taken up by temporary bleachers. There is no room for GA folks to wander up to the rail. It would be a complete cluster, the GA folks blocking the way of the people trying to get to their seats in the bleachers.

As jacksdad and SuffolkGirl stated above, I got general admission, thinking that I wasn't going to be in a seat much anyway. Now I'm pissed that I won't even be able to see the track. Caveat emptor.

Got mine today and yes it tells you where your seats are. I am on the apron Friday and Saturday.

I'm bummed out now that I've found out that I'm in section 400 yes the "Clubhouse Turn" This sucks! I saw an article on the Star Ledger on Friday saying how many tickets were "reserved" for various groups and it just made me upset. Should this day be for the fans?

You would think that I would be used to the politcical BS that goes on in NJ, having lived in NJ for practically me entire life. I guess my dad was right when he said that NJ has the Best politicians . . . that $ can buy.

To think that the "good seats will be used by some "Fat Cat" that has doesn't know the difference between a filly and a gelding will be sitting in the "good" seats in the grandstand and I'll be in no mans land. I really do noty like the NJSEA runnig the tracks in NJ.

Don't think that Monmouth is any different than any other BC venue as far as blocking out the best seats from the public. It happens every year, but with the bigger venues it may not be as noticable.
