BTW, you can't buy a 2 bedroom home in the GHETTO here in Orlando for under 180k. Home prices are expensive in Florida, that's all there is to it.
lol. and you have to drive 2 hours to see a horse race.

What the frick with statistics for a whole city? Who gives a sh.it? Chuck is talking about the area around the racetrack.

Stat fans get the stats for a mile radius of Churchill and Hialeah.

A little less if Tampa is running.

Orlando sucks, for sure. As soon as I'm able, I'm outta here.

Also..at Churchill the neighbors are, for the most part, overly friendly because they are making $$$ from parking. I have no problems, and never have, in the area surrounding Churchill.

And i'm willing to bet that Louisville is FAR more segregated than Hialeah.

I haven't been to Hialeah (the track) since 2000, but I remember it being in the hood. If that's changed, then I apologize. Hell, my house is only minutes from the hood. That's how Florida rolls... you have your million dollar homes right down the street from your crime-ridden ghetto. LOL

I was stabled at Hialeah for three years from 2000 to the last year it was open in 2004. I was pulled over by the police three seperate times going to work because I was a white guy driving a Luxury SUV in that area. The reason that I was pulled over each time was because I was in a high drug area at an unusual time and I was white. I can recall at least three incidents of people being shot or shot at while stabled there. The mexicans hated to go there because they pretty consistently got mugged when they left the track at night or beat up because they were Mexican. Half the crime in the area goes unreported because many of the people who live there are illegals who keep a low profile. You can site you stats all you want but I saw it first hand.

That's right/ Just be careful at night. I don't drive much at night now; I've got a burnt out headlight.

Hey, come on try a little, nothing is forever, there's got to be something better than in the middle. Me & Cinderella, we put it all together, we can drive it home ... with one headlight

You'd have been lonely there after '01. That's when they closed. And six years is a long time. It certainly has changed there for the better with growth and as development pushed out. There's only so many miles between the beach and the swamp to build.

It may have changed in recent years but it and the neighborhoods to the east of it that you had to drive through to get there from 95 sucked when I was there

Have you been to NYC lately? Listed now as one of the safest major cities in USA

Don't forget...

the most expensive also.

Did you hear that Jeffie Gordon is renting a $26,000/month apartment until his new condo is done being built?

I admit, that sailed right past me. Then again, I'm still listening to Herman's Hermits records.
