Like many have described, Obama fits very nicely with moderate Republicans. Why I voted for him. Why Colin Powell endorsed him. Why most major newspapers in the country endorsed him.

This country isn't divided - from my point of view, it's been brought more together. The wingnut extremists were thrown out of office. When you have Fox News calling Karl Rove extreme, there's plenty of hope. If they can lay off the crazy talk, and people like Donald Trump stop calling for revolution because they lost an election, the rest of us can continue to work. There were historic accomplishments Obama's first term, and it will continue.

The United States is unique as even our Democrats are considered rather conservative in the other first world countries. Like me being called "extreme". It's absurd.
You cant make a single post without making some extreme remark about the GOP. You think that politicam parties and those that suport them can endure months of attacks on rach other and believe that we come out of it more together? You think that thi election proves something? it proves nothing except that far too many people see only what they want to see. Obama won the popular election by a little over 1%. That is an awful lot of people who were willing to ignore the attacks and scare tactics and still vote him out.

Please - stop with this ridiculous nonsense. There is no "free stuff". Name one.

Or would you prefer I said free money? Obamaphones? Obamabucks?

Don't play games. Obama has the loafer vote all locked up.

When the subject is the extreme things the GOP is doing - and even you have to admit that preventing women from accessing birth control is extreme - the subject dictates the post.

Yes. The extremists, the "Muslim Kenyan Socialist Communist" Bachmann-West-Mourdock-Atkins folks lost. The liars, the Fox News liars, lost.

The election was a "landslide" according to all the Romney people that thought he'd be on top with over 330 electoral votes. It was Obama who got the "landslide", however. Exactly as the multiple rational poll watchers - and not the crazy right wing reality-deniers - predicted. Every swing state but one.

Popular vote still being counted, but this mornings total is

59,621,436 Obama
56,989,709 Romney

That's plenty significant in a Presidential election. Especially as on the evening news, Obama's win margin is now over 3 million votes and still rising.

Not really significant at all.

Before subtracting out the dead people and multiple voters (which we don't have figures for due to those being illegal, unmeasured activities), Obama got 51.1% to Romney's 48.9%.

Do you know how broke you have to be to get food stamps, Joey? Look it up on the internet in your state.

Obama has made zero changes to the food stamp program. So why do you blame him?

And the minimal survival cell phone access for emergencies wasn't created by Obama, either. In fact, poor people could get minimal telephone service since I was about 10 years old. We all pay for that in our telephone taxes.

Yes, Obama has the "loafer" vote of those in abject poverty locked up, especially in the dismal make-believe imaginary world of the ObamaHaters where "47% of Americans will never take responsibility for their lives". Ronald Reagan lied and make up the 'welfare queen" racist ghetto dog-whistle, and some still believe that silliness.

Thankfully, the majority in this country proved yesterday that they do not.

Wow - that was epic. I didn't see it first hand, had to go back and watch it. I heard about it when we were waiting for Romney to become an adult and concede for an hour. Twitter was busting up about it.

I had a non-political friend who casually turned on Fox last night, and caught it all live. He called today wanting to know who. the. hell. is. Karl. Rove?

Yes, there's 3 counties that are GOP that haven't reported in yet..

This is a day old..

The following was from a Salon article this morn, about Karl Rove & his performance last nite on Fox .....

"..... all of which means, when it comes to Karl Rove, the Democrats had best play by Chicago rules. “That means when he is dead, you put a stake through his heart,” explained one Democratic operative. “Then you put a bullet through his head. You pour gasoline on him and set him on fire. Then you kill him again. Because he’ll be back."
