Still makes no sense to me and honestly it's kind of a negative in my mind that he's THAT concerned with post positions. Your horse is either going to run well or he isn't. Being overly concerned about something like post positions, when you have a horse of his caliber seems odd. I think he's the best sprinter in the country and he can win the Mile, but it won't be with my money. That might actually be a good thing for him though.

The Dirt Mile is almost always biased towards late runners. Emcee will find the pace scenario difficult.
I don't know if the trend towards closers winning will continue on Santa Anita dirt.
