Sure. But Tacitus and Win Win Win were both off the pace a bit and Sir Winston closed 4-5 lengths on them down the stretch.

In a meltdown, being farther back is often better.

True. I’m not trying to say Sir Winston is a Derby contender, just making a note of it. There will be races similar to the Tampa Bay Derby where it might make sense to include him.

Meltdowns are fairly infrequent.
