Exclamation Mike (Oracle) it's been awhile...I need your opinion on

Mike, hoped you enjoyed Churchill Downs and the BC Cup! Now, let's get things stirred up again. I want your opinion on what you think will happened with NYRA now that Elliot Spitzer is our new governor. What role did he play getting NYRA in hot water the past three years, who you think will run racing after the end of 2007 and will the direction be good or bad for us, the racing fan.
Some say it's will be much better with NYRA gone. I am not of this opinion. Do the horseman really want this change away from NYRA. We need clear thinking and a well informed opinion on this subject. You don't hold back any punches... Am I right - will things be worst off without NYRA running racing in NY???

I don't think that the horseman want to break away from NYRA at all, at least not the ones who are actually horsemen.
The funniest part of the whole Empire thing is that the majority of those listed as "trainers" don't train anymore, and weren't any good at it when they did. Which is why they require jobs as shills for that group. If they ever had any talent and could actually train they would currently be doing so.
Then their are a lot of the owners with Empire, its hysterical, really it is, when you hear some guy referred to as an owner who no longer has anything in training, or has one two cheap horses that are worth less than a used car.
The way these circus clowns talk, you'd think they actually had money invested in the game.
While some credible horseman do indeed belong with Empire, they flat out lie and blatantly misrepresent themselves as speaking for all Ny horseman, which they very clearly do not.
This is especially true with the NY Thoroughbred Breeders who gave Dennis Brida the boot out the door when he appeared as a member of Empire, something the very esteemed Barry Ostrager has made it clear that he will not endorse in his tenure as president of that group.
Empire's trademark at this point appears to be their fascinating ability to lie and distort the truth while pretending to speak for thousands who have no interest in them succeeding.

They must have taken that out of the NYRA handbook, when NYRA sold their handbooks at the bankruptcy auction.

Excelsior is the one that will be running racing in New York.

How do you know when an Empire supporter/member is lying?
Their lips are moving.

Imagine Dennis Brida and Richard Bomze representing themselves as "horsemen"? LOL!!!!
Whens the last time either of one these guys saddled or started a horse? The 90's?
But they will be their looking out for YOU. Thats probably the funniest thing I ever heard.

Brian Cashman at the helm? Maybe they can give Gary Shefield a job as stall man. Carl Pavano as valet parking director. Randy Johnson can be in charge of senior affairs.

I don't like the Yankees or Donald Trump, but if they were to run it we wouldn't have shady characters like NYRA. I think it is a done deal with yesterdays election. Thank God NYRA is gone.

So, now that Spitzer has been elected, is it the general consensus that NYRA will be out?
