Question Monday 10/23 Mountaineer early DD

The 1st race is for maidens where the two favorites the 4 and 6 have raced against each other twice at Churchill Downs, each beating one another once.I think the 6 has gotten better and thus will throw out the 4.But we're also going to use the 3,5 and 9.Villa-Gomez gets on the 3 by Thunderello who made one start on the grass.the trainer is 1-84 but we'll use him small.the 5 ships in from Great Lakes where the horse has worked well for a trainer who knows how to win.Another interesting aspect is that MSW at Great Lakes goes for 16k where here the horse is going for 24k.He might feel this horse is good enough so that's why he decided to ship.the 8 finished 2nd to a runaway winner last time and still beat the 3rd horse by almost 5 lengths.the 9 is by Richter Scale and i like the fact that he's had 3 gate works and the one on September 30th was the kind of work i like. The 2nd is tough and i really don't feel like betting too much even though we caught both doubles last night. But i'm going to single the 3.Coming out of the same race as the 5 and 9,this horse tried to middle move on the inside where the 5 and 9 were wide. This horse finished right on the wire with the 5 and the 9 only beat her by a little over 2 lengths. So now that i've droned on and on,the bet is 3,5,6,9/3.Bet this double like you're walking on glass.Good luck.

Thank you, like your thinking on the 5 in the first (has the bloodline, sorry Timm), and the 9 could surprise. Let's make it 3 in a row!

Tough loss; 3 looked like a winner but went a little too wide on the turn, opening it up for the 2 down the inside.

392.80 for $2, had it for $5..............lost by a neck, but I saw it coming. Hit the tri a little to ease the disappointment. Good capping ' Maid.

Whitney did exactly what i expected him to do.He left hard to secure position because he was on the inside and floated the 5 and 9 wide.In essence this horse ran the same race as last time but because of tactics was able to beat the other 2 horses. The 2 was 0-5 at Mountaineer. When you handicap a race and picture the way you think it will be run you can't complain, when it goes that way.Be back later with the late double.Good luck with your bets.Mark.

Default Mountaineer 7th race

I'm going to bet a few dollars on the 8.The horse raced once at Mountaineer breaking it's maiden in MSW.The trainer is from Great Lakes and Joe Judice rode there also. The horse just won against cheaper and it seems when she's sharp she'll run a few good races. What i also like is that after that win the horse worked back which tells me the trainer wants to keep her on edge.I will bet WP though.Have some work to do,be back around 10:00 with the late double.Good luck.
